Has anyone been reading the recent chapters? I haven't seen any chatter here lately about them, so I've been keeping the Dogs work mostly back-burner (well, behind TJTG anyway. I haven't even tried to get the latest volume of VGD yet) but now I'm ready to start this month's translation and have to decide between this or TJTG first.

No double spreads in this chapter, but from the quick glance I gave it while scanning, it looks like we get some Badou background, and a character whose name I forgot pops up again (Baran?) Also, Mimi is back and looking super cute!

The Dogs comm over at livejournal is pretty steady around when chapters get released (preview pictures from s-manga and UJ's sites get posted as soon as they're uploaded) and someone's been putting it up over at onemanga.com, so there is a pretty decent fanbase despite having only one month releases. Myself and a bunch of my friends are definitely reading it as soon as you get translations out. :D

Oh my gosh I couldn't live without your Dogs translations!
I am always grateful and giddy with excitement when I see a new chapter up to read! It is probably my favorite manga!

I was shocked to learn the truth about the Bishop! Never expected that. Shocked

I'm excited for the next issue as it seems more of Badou's past will come out?
There hasn't been too much focus on him lately so maybe now we'll learn more about him.

It is true though as Tauchpanzer says, the DOGS livejournal community is very active and steady.
I would say there is a loyal fan base there and here as well.
I don't know anyone else who translates the DOGs manga, so I want to say Thank you again and again!

yeah, I scanned chapter 30 two days ago, and I'm about to get started on it (or TJTG, I haven't really decided.)

I'm pretty busy right now (with the Real World) so I haven't had time to check out other places. I usually just watch the forum here (since this is my site) and don't get out too much otherwise. I didn't know there were more than a few people following dogs.

anyway, I should get chapter 30 out before I move (I hope) so maybe in a week or two from now.

By the way, I picked up Dogs: Bullets and Carnage volumes 2 and 3 today. I can't believe how quickly they were able to get volume 3 out. The last chapter in volume 3 is chapter 29: last month's chapter! Amazing!

For chapter 30, does anyone know who that is in Badou's flashback with his brother? Could it be Mimi? I'm really awful at identifying people in real life, and manga isn't much easier.

I thought this was an interesting chapter. Some Badou action, backstory, and a bit of brooding Haine.

Also: heavy desk throwing? Is that ... normal? That desk looked *heavy*.

And I think I will now decide on which desk to by based on desk throwing and bad-guy crushing properties.

Do you mean on page 11 when Badou's brother is shown lying in blood? I thought it was Badou's younger self..the hair does look a little different from pages 10-11...more straight on page 10 and more curly in page 11, but it seems like the character is holding his eye where he was wounded like Badou has a scar now...

I liked this chapter too! I wonder where the Bishop went? And maybe we'll get to see more of Mimi next time too!

Oh, when the two men said "She's really giving her husband the squeeze", where they calling Mihai that as an joke or are Kiri and Mihai really married?! Shocked

I thought it was just Badou and two friends, but now that I look at it I think it's older-Badou-with-eyepatch remembering that conversation he had in the past with his older brother on that rooftop. So the person with medium length hair would be him at a younger age, and the guy with short hair would be his brother. It makes a bit more sense than two guys we've never seen before suddenly talking to Badou.

It would really help if Miwa did a bit more shading....

Oh the page with the three people....I think it is Badou's current self and the memory of him when he was younger and his older brother...so I guess it would be Badou, little Badou and his brother... ^^

Yeah it is a little confusing since Miwa sensei decided to just draw the memory right next to where Badou is already standing...and he seems to draw Badou with a different hairstyle each time when he portrays him as a kid throughout the Dogs story..

Oh wow, so Kiri and Mihai really are married?! I totally missed that... ^^lll

I didnt think that guy was his brother, because it seemed the two of them were talking *about* his brother so that would have been kinda weird o.O The first person who came to my mind was that police guy from one of the previous chapters, the one who said something like "Youre still chasing after him?" something to that effect, you remember that guy? (Although I dont remember what he looks like so i could be wrong)

And i had no idea they were married either ~_~;;; I thought they would officially say it or something xD;
