Id like to give gmao a try but im having trouble getting it going.
I've got java web start and netbean but when i click on the start-up link it gives me an error: Unable to launch the specified application
and the details say: An error occurred while launching/running the application.

Category: Invalid Argument error

Could not load file/URL specified

the exception says: CouldNotLoadArgumentException[ Could not load file/URL specified]

at com.sun.javaws.Main.main(Unknown Source)

I can load java web start and it gives me the option of GMAO and the server. when i open those it looks nothing like the tutorial. they are just small window with next to no options.

what do i need to do get this working right?

I'm not sure I understand what is happening. The first error that you say looks like it just can't load the GMAO.jar - sometimes my machine is bandwidth limited, and it is hard to load files from this (these) website(s). In that case, just try to launch it again from the Java Web Start link off of http://FuguTabetai.com/software/GMAO/

If you could send me a picture of what it looks like when you start it (but where the windows look nothing like in the tutorial) I would apprecaite it. It sounds like you aren't even starting GMAO up...
