- Chapter 29:
Summary: The police investigate the massive explosion caused by Ms. Freuling and her train. While they do that, Granny Liza interrogates Mihai Mihaeroff, accusing him of being involved in the children kidnapping incident. Back at the church, Naoto dreams of (? has nightmares about ?) her past (possibly Ms. Freuling) while Nill watches over her.
Haine fights with the Bishop. The Bishop took care of Haine when he first appeared, but Haine can't forgive him for also being one of the Cereberos "Dogs".
Granny Liza is struck by something that Mihai said, and hires Badou for a job.

- Chapter 30:
Summary: The chapter opens with Badou in his shop, chatting with Mimi. He wants to get some information from her about the sword from the kidnapping incidents. She's interested in the recent explosion (which is being passed off as a gas pipeline explosion.) Hilarity ensues.
Mihai returns to the restaurant and his wife Kiri gives him a lecture. Zack and Baran look on, enjoying the show. Meanwhile, we get a flashback to Badou and his brother (before Badou lost his eye), and then Badou breaks into the Carselino mob's HQ to get some information about who ordered the kidnappings.
Back at the church, Haine is pissed that the Bishop ran out on him, before they could finish their "conversation". Naoto also remains behind with an unfinished conversation.

- Chapter 31:
Summary: Haine and Naoto continue their discussion about the "underground", and Haine wonders why Naoto was the only one that was saved from the kidnapping by the man with a sword like the ones used by the kidnappers. They are just in time to save Badou, who is making his escape from the Carselino compound.
Naoto and Haine head back to Liza's place and Liza is excited to get Naoto into some new clothes.
Badou heads back to his brother's old apartment, and finds a note in some old cigarette packs: "There is a fire in the tobacco shop".

- Chapter 32:
Summary: We open with a flashback to when Badou and his brother Dave were running together. Badou also gets a visit from Danielle, a woman whose mind seems to be a bit broken, as she lives in the past. It seems like she used to date Dave, Badou's brother.
Kiri shows up and has also been investigating the black swords on her own to help Haine. She's now on the trail of "Fuyumine Magato".

- Chapter 33:
Summary: The chapter opens with Magato dealing with some people for an assassination he did. He's very violent and somewhat homicidal - and kills his employers.
We meet "Herbst", who was in the shadows watching Magato. They have a cryptic conversation about other players in the story, named after German seasons. I believe that "Herbst" is Richter H. Berthein. He also tells Magato that Naoto (I think) has been poking around looking for him.
The chapter ends on a flash back to Giovanni as a child.

- Chapter 34:
Summary: The chapter opens with a flashback to Giovanni as a kid, going through some bad memories, interleaved with the current, smartly-dressed Giovanni working for Angelica Einstellsohn. Giovanni gets permission for a separate side mission of his own after he takes care of something for Angelica.
It seems like Giovanni has a lot of issues with not living up to Angelica's expectations from when he was a kid.
- Chapter 35:
Summary: Mihai fills Badou in on the fight with the dogs on the train. We learn that Mihai can't draw well with a broken arm. There is a bit of comedy where Mihai is surprised that Badou is "into" classical concerts (he received free tickets.)
Back at Liza's place Naoto meets Nil again who is in her new dress and Haine. Naoto has been captured by Liza and will be forced to change her clothes into something more fashionable also.
Haine leaves and runs into Mimi, looking into the black sword thing.
Badou goes to a classical concert (and falls asleep.) He was given tickets by the conductor, Richter H. Berthein aka Herbst. Richter was actually the person that injured Badou's eye...
Meanwhile, Mimi is found by Magato in a secluded warehouse...
- Chapter 36:
Summary: Magato interrogates Mimi, not letting on that he is actually who she is looking for. She is saved at the last minute by Tag, the police officer.
Richter tries to apologize to Badou, but things turn bad and Badou shoots him (apparently.)
We catch up with Marcel Carselino who is starting to lead an attack on Liza's place and the "Stray Dogs". Also, it seems like Giovanni's train is coming up from the Underground...
