Interesting last bit about Osaka Castle.... Tokugawa family didn't gain control of the Osaka Castle untill after 1615, which would mean that chapter 90 takes place at least 33 years since Nobunaga's death in chapter 89. But what struck me, is that Aya in the beginning of chapter 89 (page 33) looks a...

I argee and you are correct Judging by page 80 and page 73, he is indeed Tadaaki, not Ittosai. Author: fugu Language: English: Master Ittousai was recommended to become the fist of the Tokugawa family, but the conditions were that "you obliterate Zenki, who has become a killing demon" ... Jirou, who...

Air Gear manga coming to the U.S.
DelRey has acquired the rights to Air Gear, so you may soon see this in a Barnes and Noble near you. http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/pressrelease.php?id=1469 As for the obvious question of edits, well, Del Ray did once threaten to edit Negima, but after some serious pressure from the fandom, they re...

Oh, and are we certain that Inue is from an offshoot family of the Kago line? Something about the way she clutches his head and the way they were treating severed heads in this chapter just irks me.. When did anyone say that? It's not officially confirmed in any way, but it is somewhat logical. Kag...

As far as I understood the chapter - he is Itou Ittosai and Tadaaki is mentioned simply in passing. It's hard to judge. Oda Nobunaga died in 1582. We can assume that this chapter takes place some time after that year. Now, in 1582, Ono Tadaaki was 17 years old, while Ittosai was 22. It's more likely...

I argee. First of all, we shouldn't judge Aya-2 by the standarts of current Natsume sisters. Current Aya is young and still naive, you can't expect all Natsume to be like her. Heck, even Maya has a crazy, mean and devilish streak in her (e.g. Katana-hunting). Secondly, she has lead a terrible life, ...

BTW, that "blond" swordsman seem to be Ito Ittosai Kagehisa, the legendary swordsman and founder of Itto-ryu, one of the oldest kenjutsu schools in Japan.

Here you go: http://mrprophet.com/temp/v15c90.zip The chapter is mainly about Aya-2's life as a girl growing up in a brothel. The "death" scene seemed like Aya-2 manifesting her "Dragon Eye" powers of illusion (remember how Dragon Pupil is one aspect of Dragon Eye?). There is also some involvement b...

OK, finished reading. I am mighty confused about everything, but I think I got the gist of what that travelling man was talking about: So, he is saying that Mitsuhide had the power for some time, but Toyotomi Hideyoshi and Tokugawa Ieyasu bring him down and Mitsuhide dies. Then rumours start about M...

I too first thought that it was Makiko (refer to discussions of previous chapters), especially when they've showed the ghost leading Aya to a strikingly similar Makiko hanging from that wooden structure. But, no, that's not her. I think the previous chapters establish it rather firmly that she is th...

Does "Become Gaokishi Takehaya Susano Oumikoto" refer to Takehaya-Susano-oh-no-Mikoto, the Japanese God of Storms (AKA "Susanoo")? The kanji for "Susano-oh" is different from the ones that Oh!great uses, though. But Susano-oh is the one that found the sword Kusanagi-no-tsurugi, that you mention next...

I like the Past Aya mainly because she doesn't look like a typical Oh!great bombshell. Nice to see a normal sized woman in this manga once in a while. 8) It would also be fun if we finally got back to Masataka and his triangle with Aya and Nagi. I too was somewhat uncertain if it is him, since Susa looks more muscular than Nobunaga, however, Kagiroi mentions Susa Man as a "shogun". While Oda wasn't The Shogun at the time, he was definitely a general (which the word "shogun" really means). I doubt that you'd see generals in the Bronze age, a...

Err, where does it say that Nobunaga founded the families? I was obviously speculating. However, think of what was shown to us: 1) The girl, Aya-2, got Reiki from Nobunaga. Well, we knew that Kago gate had something to do with necromancy (hence, Frankie Fu), so him prolonging his own life and Kagiroi's was not unexpected. TJTG came out in 1998... But I doubt will have an extended past-past arc, since there won't be Maya or Mitsuomi or any other main character, so Oh!great wouldn't do it. The girl could be the ancestor of Natsume. Since Aya can see the past through her ghost form, she could have went back to see how the whole mess started. OMFG... cue for a really bad plot rants.
