Book 7 down!
I was withholding my comments on the fight between Shin and Mitsuomi that started in chap 44. In the chap 44 thread, the general feeling was that of a disappointment, but I feel that to do justice to this segment, you need to read this finale along with the previous chapter. Well, try reading the ch...

At the end of Book 7 already...
At this rate you're gonna catch up to Ultra Jump's releases soon!
Doesn't CU have midterms or other amusements to keep you busy? ^^;;
Thanks for the great chapter.
Always appreciate your hard work.

Is the name of Fu Chien's move the same as his name, the Fu Chyuan bit? Anyhow, that move was pretty cool, I like the name too, Tiger, Fist something Earth something something Five something? Some thoughs: Maya called herself a 'sheath'. A sword can't be safe to others and can't be protected from the elements without a sheath. A sheath by itself has no usefulness, so it has no reason for existence without a sword to hold. The parents may have seen this parallel and seeing the bond betwee...

Wow many people are interested in the subject of anime production. I think great fighting scenes are possible even in a small budget production. For instance, there is a superb work "Kaze makase Tsukikage Ran" (Following the winds Tsukikage Ran) It's about a female ronin (wandering samurai) Tsukikag...

1) Do you use a program to translate manga? 2) How hard is it to translate. 3) If you are skilled in rudimentary japanese, can it work? Thanks for your patience, Raist. 2 & 3. I'd say 4~6 30 minute episodes would be enough. 1: Introduction and destruction of the Katana biker group. 2: Members gather, formation of Jukenbu. 3: Tensions mount between Shin and Mitsuomi. 4: The tournament finals and conclusion. If I had my way, these may be the big themes. The whole thing with...

Well, the general TV programming in Japan is pretty crappy overall. =P Our American television is close behind though! Go FOX, go~! I think parts of TJTG can be made into an anime. For instance, the past arc on its own will make a very nice mini-series OVA. It'll start out with some tense situation ...

To Fugu:
I don't know why it won't work for you.
I'll write down what I did.
1. Write out kanji in Notepad.exe using Japanese IME
2. Open Photoshop document
3. Select Text tool
4. Copy kanji from Notepad
5. Paste to Photoshop
6. Select the text and change to the Calligraphy Font (forgot the name)

Being a closed-minded socially-paranoid American, I wouldn't have the guts to wear such clothing out in the streets. :D Heck, I don't think I can even indulge myself wearing that in the privates of my room. hahaha If anyone gets hold of those jackets, take a couple cosplay photos and post them here!

Yea.
If TJTG does see official release, it will be 2~3 chapter increments in those thin 'magazine style' comic book format.
That'd take YEARS to catch up to vol 9.
The publishers would LOVE that...get to milk the comics to the last drop.

What you worry is quite true The_Shape. As early as Book 8, you can see some noticible changes in drawing style in TJTG. That coat you talk about is the traditional male highschool uniform worn during the fall to spring semesters. Each Silky Whip issue seems to go for about $3.50 and the TPB you talk about is the compilation of first 4 volumes. So I don't think the $14.95 price is justified... Thanks for the info....

'Engine Room', '5' and 'Junk Story' are three compilation tankoubons that contain Oh!Great's short stories published in the 'Hot Milk Magazine' et al. Dammit, I must work harder now to become a [senpai] - at least that's what I think the next level's gonna be.

There seems to be a bit of discussion about Tawara Bunshichi's nickname; Double Impact. I think it has two meanings.
