Ah yes, thanks for the source. However, that piece of information does make me wonder if it was implying that there was a quasi-mythological person who possessed all powers in the beginning, (as Fugu said earlier) or if it was saying that there was a clan long ago who had all the powers under one ba...

If you find it, can you tell me plase? I find that ironic and hard to believe since Dougen has a distaste for them, which ties in with his short-lived True Warrior project. Moreover, it's been hinted that during the ancient times, the Natsume clan occupied a higher rank than the Takayanagi clan. It ...

The Takayanagi family? They're not even red feathers. It wouldn't even make sense considering Dougen's opinions regarding red feather powers. Politically however, they're the most powerful. There probably was an ancient clan (as in "Kojiki ancient," way before the ancient arc) that possessed all 8th...

I haven't read the translations yet, but I don't understand the logic behind Souhaku's conditions. If he does kill Souichirou, can he even survive within his dead body? (I'm assuming that corpses possess no ki whatsoever.) And I don't understand how it's even possible for him to hold the life of May...

Then again Aya could be "sealing" Souhaku by activating the Dragon's Eyes and draining his ki everytime he tries to emerge, since her power can drain unlimitted ki she could keep him in check by weakening him to the point he's unable to overpower Nagi's soul. The act of "draining ki" seems to be so...

That's what I got, he told it this way for a reason, and that's what it seems to me Souhaku is in Nagi but something/one(Aya) is suppressing him, and that weird dragon looks like Makiko's eye, does that mean Souhaku did try to put himself in her at one time too? Weird. And I really don't understand...

I think the words " Oh! Great " and " flashback " are starting to sound like a really bad joke now. You mean something like, "Oh great! Another flashback!" :?: Aya's hair may be ugly, but atleast she looks less generic now. And I'm not sure but I think Chiaki got a breast reduction. Didn't they use...

That was my major problem with it. I want to know just how Nagi got out of there. That's the biggest question on my mind anyway. Same here. It looks like a few days have passed by since the last chapter. And that one was somewhat of a cliffhanger too! Man, this manga sure likes to keep it secrets. What I was hoping to see was more Makiko. After all the stuff that happened with Souhaku and her son now sporting an eyepatch, one would at l...

Wow, Nagi finally got a (much needed) haircut. Even though Aya called out his name, I actually thought that I was seeing Ishiyumi wearing an eyepatch—but then, that just didn't make any sense. I wonder how he would look in his exorcist form now. Also, what the hell really happened back when ...

Personally, I think it's confusing to refer to the dragons/gates based on their so-called color, because all their names are too long and rather complicated. Earth, Water, etc. are fine for me especially when you're trying to differentiate them from the 8th gates and their corresponding dragons. Any...

Makiko explained it that you invoke a dragon and then it leaves through a gate, so Nagi invoked the red belt earth dragon and its power (lightning)left through the gate in his fist, so Aya's power comes from a dragon whose power works in her eyes. Ishiyumi and other non red feathers just seem to be...

Well, I did say "something similar..." I thought what Souichirou did back then was the Forged Needle too, or at least a beginner's version of it, but I was trying to say that what Masataka did was somewhat similar to that with regard to the idea of "hitting from a distance, using ki from afar, etc."...

A fully beserked Shin would actually make short work of Mitsuomi and Bunshichi. That is, going by the last chapter of the past arc. Besides, I'm sure Shin with his Dragon's Eye can easily go beyond Mitsuomi's 3 minute limit. The one thing interesting in a Dragon's Fist vs. Dragon's Eye fight is that...

That thing that Masataka did where he was able to attack Madoka from behind Bob is actually quite typical of popular martial arts fiction. It's like all that talk of "striking without touching," and from a distance. If I remember correctly, you see Soucihirou do something similar when he was punchin...

So far, the Takayanagi family are more of a white feather type of clan, so I doubt they have any secret 8th gate. Mitsuomi even has a disdain for red feather abilities. Sure, Mitsuomi and Masataka have what it takes to maybe open any of the other 7 gates, (fire, water, earth...) but as those two hav...

For one thing, this isn't just some romance. And moreover, it's not just Masataka. The love polygon has been going on all this time, with Maya and Mitsuomi as the only pair with a "practically already there" level. Bob and Chiaki (and Asshat I assume) are all already spoken for. All of the one-sided...

Re: Possible Spoiler
If Souichiro has the Black Dragon of Earth, could it be possible that someone has the White Dragon of Heaven. I believe Makiko and Dougen were simply wondering what kind of dragon will awaken within Souichirou. Will it be the Nagi's 8th Gate or the Kago one? Hence, they conducted a scenario that wo...

Yes, but he said it was more of a mental strength, overcoming ones own fear the real fight is the fight with yourself, etc. Perhaps that's the answer the author will be going for, but what I meant is that the nature of "true strength" itself is one of the recurring themes in the story. I also don't believe that Maya was raped. There just wasn't enough time. I was wondering about that part too. Anyway, what Aya has seen doesn't necessarily mean it's going to happen. For now at least, it serves as a warning, and remains as a scenario that Aya must somehow prevent from happening— unless of course, if it's actually happening as she's seeing it. Heck, it ...

Yes, but if I'm not mistaken, it was also mentioned that the Natsume family were the highest long ago. In fact, what's left of their past greatness is their estate. If so, that time must've been from long, long time ago—way before this ancient arc.Kyu1982 wrote:takayanagi was still top dog in the 12 family.
