MySQL corrupted tables

I recently installed SpamAssassin to deal with the 200+ SPAM messages I get a day to my accounts, and it ate up lots of memory. Possibly this forced a reboot which corrupted the MySQL tables. I've repaired the damage, and we're good to go again. I'm upgrading the memory I use for this virtual private linux server, so it shouldn't happen again.
If it is a continual problem, I'm going to look at putting SpamAssassin on a diet.

well, makes it seem a bit more lively around here.
And I quit using SpamAssassin. Just too much trouble. Now I just let the baysian filter on my mail client deal with things.

or..you can consider using Gmail?

I would rather run my own servers so that I can control my data and do not depend on the good will of a corporate entity.

I'm having the same problem and the developers themselves know the problems that still does not have a practical solution.
