Shoud be around this days right? Does anyone knows when?

It usually comes out on the 19th of every month, except for when Oh! Great takes a break (like last month).

I'll be in the States until the 23rd though, so I won't be working on a translation until after I get back to Tokyo.

thanks sleepy. just woke up to this

i wonder if the color pages have any significance. the first two pulses are spaced out, then you have two consecutive pulses, then when we see the reflection, and the close up of the HR monitor, it's again two consecutive pulses. so it seems someone is coming back

kabane better not be a one trick pony, and give aya a good fight. she even said his power level was on par with kagiori or higher. can't wait to see the rest. and why hasn't s-manga updated their site >.<

i hope vol 19 has kabane and shyoujou for the cover(already jumpin the gun, i know)

ahah i was correct Maya will return to fill in for asshat since his arm injur
the way i see the image i think her body has recovered and started to build up her ki (i think while she is in coma her body doesn't produce ki) because after she woke up (opened her eyes) there are the guys on suit that have some kind of light on their hands that i presume to be the dragon palm to heal her

Ps: i've been absent cause i left to austria to 13º world gymnaestrada anyone has seen it on TV?

-maya's eyes have been opened this entire time-

i just looked back at vol 16 and my little heart pulse comment has no validation. so she's still in her coma. the jkb doesn't need any replacements for sugano. with shin's time only mitsuomi, bunshichi, and sugano were present, and they could still be in the finals.

the people in the suits are from the hotaru clan or branch. and have healing abilities, not ki filling. at least i hope not.

it would be kind of lame to see maya come back full strength. after having the living shit beat out of her, then to have aya/reiki sap all of her ki reserves and her be like hey, i'm all good. mitsuomi will probably look like he's winning in a battle with whomever, then start losing, and have maya protect him only to die(shin/megane girl). meh~

color pages means the start of a new volume. this is the first chap in vol 18

i said they were healing her. besides this isn't shin's/mitusomi/bunshichi time in their time the only guy with abnormal abilitys in school was shin and they were on the same team. besides asshat down + nagi because he can't fight they stay with masataka/bob/aya count of bob because he still needs more training besides have learn all that rithym stuff he can dodge the atacks but he doesn't know great atack moves when fighting someone whit abnormal abilitys. so they only have 2 member aya and masataka. Maya won't return with all ki she had stored over the years i think she will return with normal ki reservs but still she knows many things and if u want to count her off the combat she can be finish bob traning and teach him some atacks and how to use ki.

Yeah that's a sweet pic, no vol 17 is Asshat, it's in the other thread.
A new vol, new UJ, cover start of a kickass new chapter, that extra month was almost worth the wait (almost).

bah, the reason igot mixed up with 16-17-18, is cause the one on the site is for vol17. meh, so who knows. maybe it will be for the asshat cover *prays*

i like the design for his over sized right glove, and apparently he's inked on his right arm. butm i'm just not feeling it. i don't know how to rip fro flash sites, but the lettering looks like it could say tenjou tenge, in english calligraphy type font.

*prays for alt cover*

edit!!!!!!!!!!!

oh shit, it is an alt cover for ten ten 17

i just realised the gold and white image is of asshat with his jai-normaous right glove and a championship belt, and you can read oh great at the top left corner. i wouldn't mind if this becomes a normal thing. the more artwork, the better

rock on bitches, rock on~

hmm Aya really kick ass.
isn't Aya's new sword technique similar to Saito Hajime's in Kenshin manga at the end?

The way she hold the sword, is a little different.
But, she uses the Nodachi (very long sword). hmm, maybe OG mistakes. at one pic, sword is longer and at another pic, sword looks regular size sword.

Geez I thought he was gonna kill Aya too, so how is she defeating Kabane's swords(and geez he does blow away the old one)? Cutting the ki linked to Kabane? So based on my rough translation, Maya is dead? and Aya just wants Souhaku to resuurect her? yay, Reiki. Oh and Nokimi is such a dirty girl  Great chapter, only 2 color pages blows(though color Reiki was awesome), sigh another month to see who wins, man is he dragging this out.

Wow! I really missed TenTen, too. And getting to see Maya again was cool, even though she´s in that state. But I feel that OhGreat wouldn´t have that old lady saying that Maya was dead, unless he´s preparing a surprise comeback soon (at least I hope so). Although I agree with those who said it would be kinda lame to see Maya back and kicking ass after she took the beating of her life, I wished she would be back into action soon. Loved the chapter!

Ahh I didn't notice, Kabane puts ki into sharp things(needles, piece of bamboo?, then glass shards) to make his "swords", interesting, I still don't see any "dragon" name though and is he holding back? Past Kabane sliced guys in half(and thirds and fourths) still how is Aya not dead after being impaled like that, or do glass shards not work as well? Where's that translation Fugu?

I do not think she is dead dead.. just "dead" as in the light is not on. coma is a better word.

If she was "dead" dead then why does page 16 have her heart rate at 60 beats a minute? Which could be considered normal for healthy athlete at rest.

So Kabane can transform is Ki to a blade with a steel medium (with needles mainly), cool! (at least that's my guess)

Would explain why it didn't kill Aya, her own Ki must have lessen the blow when she got "impaled"

Her last stance is useless in a sword fight, her right hand is all the way at the tip of the blade when it should be at the handle and even if she where to use her Katana as a staff (which I don't recomend with anything short of a hunting sword) her hand is in the wrong position.

It's probably there just to look cool, or she could be transfering Ki to her blade, but it's in no way a practical stance...

It looked like he used that piece of steel to make that large 4 pronged "sword" to break the windows then use the broken glass too, so I don't think it's just steel, just something sharp. I'm guessing he used needles because they were small and convieniant to carry around alot of them. It seems they "broke" when Aya cut the ki he was putting into them.

Maybe he can simply animate non-organic matter, by giving it some of his Ki. Kind of like necromancy for objects...

hmm, normally kabane can kill people instantly, but we know Dragon eye user can disperse the Kii. When Fuchien was fighting Shin, he used lighting technique, but it was useless because Shin manage to disperse Fuchien's Kii. I think similar thing happen here.

Difference between Fuchien and Kabane is that Kabane is stronger and uses medium, so Aya probably cannot fully diperse Kabane's Kii blade attacks.

well, Kabane from past used needle. When Senhime's amateras power neutralized Kabane's blade, we saw a needle blown away. And, Kabane's technique might be related to Acupunture technique.

For the last, ya Aya's last stance was just show off. well, it is manga, if OG does not make Aya cooler than Kabane. it wouldn't be meaningful even though Aya kick ass kabane.

i wonder if this is the full technique yagyuu was trying to do against shyoujou, back in the day.

being that shyoujou was copying his ki, and reversed it on him so we didn't actually get to see the technique. so maybe aya was able to pick it up and is now going to use it on kabane

mitsuomi got pretty freaked when aya brought up the whole sohaku bit. craziness.

That's what I thought too, at first -- that she was somehow observing herself from outside her own body, hopefully a sign that she was coming back to full consciousness. But no -- the woman floating alongside her isn't Maya -- it's Reiki's "ghost form", which accompanied Aya in the past arc. The white hair color threw me off, but the giveaway is that the spirit-woman's hair doesn't have the two "bug antennas" that Maya's has.

The fact that Maya is alive at all and still in one peice after her fight with Kagiroi is a miracle. Looking at that fight, I would have sworn that he beat her head flat as a pancake with his fists early on, and maybe he did.

The ideas about Kibane's power are very interesting -- I'd say he can use a lot more than just needles, otherwise that "hundred blades rising up from the floor" trick wouldn't have worked. If cutting the ki he delivers to these objects to create his blades is key to defeating them, then Aya with her Dragon's Eye would be just the ticket for seeing and severing such connections, as she did with Nikomi's "worm thread" to the hapless Ms. Koumikawa.

I'm sure glad I'm not the poor guy who gets to pay for and fix all the damage to the building after After Aya and Kibane get done with their fight. :D

Awesome, fugu -- thank you! You're right about bit about scent being used to sense and control Kibane's blades -- that's their "secret" that we have pondered here. I love how imaginative Oh!Great is that way.

Sad about Maya's condition, too -- but I still think she will be restored somehow, and that this will -- surprise! -- involve a few unusual plot twists.

Hmm interesting well, you figure someone who's blind needs to use there other senses, oh btw didn't we all kind of agree Kabane is a boy? You're still using "she".

Seriously? I think she's a girl. But I didn't really follow that conversation closely.

The main reason I think she's a girl is because Hirohiko sounds like a girl's name, but then again the kanji for hiko is (more) masculine. I'm just confused about that. If the character weren't so androgynous...

So there is a consensus? Hirohiko is a boy? Wow.

I cannot be 100% certain, but I also think that Kibane is a male. I have looked over several chapters with Kibane in them, starting with him and Shoujyou finding Aya passed out on the floor, and his aspect, although androgynous, appears male. I also note not a hint of breasts from any angle (just being analytical here, folks!), which I think is an impossibility where Oh!Great is concerned.

Kabane got and injury on his/her chest at the end of this chapter, so next chapter we'll be fixed.

Personally I wouldn't be surprised if it's revealed Kabane is a she wearing bandages to hide her breast a la Ukyo from Ranma.

thanks a bunch fugu~

i think boy as well. OG doesn't treat his girls like that(breasts). madako would be an exception, being her age, but we got to see her unders.

i'm wondering if kabane is -actually- blind, or just the skill in particular has him focus on his sense of smell. we've seen him a couple times with his eyes open, but then we weren't shown pupils, and he does have the interestign tattoos on his eyelids.

meh?
