Latest Ultra Jump Issues question

I'm currently ordering a lot of stuff from Japanese amazon so I thought that I can add a couple UJ issues to my order.

I was wondering whether there was any interesting stuff (bonuses, alt. covers, anything) in the latest issues (9, 10 or 11) preferably related to Tenjou Tenge or Biomega (cover for #9 looks sweet, but "don't judge the book by its cover" was true too many times). I guess I could order blindly, but I value my cash too much and some people here buy the issues so I thought maybe you can help me out :)

Covers: http://ultra.shueisha.co.jp/contents/log/

Any help is welcome :)

There hasn't been any Tenjo Tenge stuff recently - unless you count the 1/3 chance you had of getting a Tenjo Tenge Aya student ID card (which I randomly pulled.) I scanned it and included it in the recent batches of scans I made of the Ultra Graphics posters.

In the Ultra Jump just out this month, there is a really cool postcard calendar - you might want to pick that up if you have the chance.

Thanks for the advice.

I just recieved the latest UJ. The postcard calendar is indeed very nice. It features pictures frome some of my favourite mangas (Alita, Biomega, one of the Jojo's Bizzare Adventure incarnations, Dogs and of course TJTG). Pictures are mostly taken from former UJ covers and are nothing new, but it's good to have them in textless versions.

Yeah, I plan to scan it at some point.

Actually, I scanned about a year's worth of the included "Ultra Graphics" posters from 2006 and 2007, but I didn't spend the time to stitch them together into pretty pictures. I hoped someone would do that, but nobody every got back to my post on the topic (over on one of the less-frequented, dusty corners of this forum.)

hey !

first of all, I have to confess : I'm french.
But, I'll do my best to be "understandable" (if the word exists ... you can understand it anyway).

Then, Fugu, I'm absolutely grateful for all your work. You are officially "THE SOURCE", and also a kind of God for any french translator of tenjo tenge.
Thanx.

So, let's tackle the topic.

I have a good team, scanlating lot's of manga's, and especially Air Gear, and recently, thanx to me (yeah !), Tenjo tenge. I do my best to translate your first japan to english translation into french ... I know it's a sin in terms of correctness, but I have no choice ... anyway.
Some people in this team are really really good at cleaning scans. I suggest you to give me the images you wanted to scan, and I'll give this first work to them, so that they might clean it prefectly.

That's all !

I'm glad to be a member from now on.
I always thought of it, but never pressed the "register" button.
it's done !

See you on the next topic ; )

and please, forgive my english ...

Hi jjfew, I'm glad you are enjoying TJTG. I think it is a nice manga.

I only post up text translations now since Tenjo Tenge is licensed for commercial distribution in America. There is also a French commercial version of Tenjo Tenge if I'm not mistaken (I might be thinking of Italian, but I'm pretty sure there is an official French translation as well.)

I do scan and put out images for Miwa Shirow's Dogs: Bullets and Carnage manga though.

To tell you the truth, cleaning doesn't really take much time. I wrote a script that does it automatically and the results are good enough for me. So I think I can manage that on my own. But thank you very much for offering to help.

By the way, avoid this month's issue: it only comes with a crappy Steel Ball Run alternate tankobon cover, and no nice posters this month. Pretty disappointing if you ask me (but I never got into JoJo's Bizarre Adventure and haven't even tried to read Steel Ball Run.)

I was answering that !
We can stitch the images you were talking about.
So, where is the topic you are pointing?

Than, there's indeed a fench version. Horrible in fact. The first books are a exemple of lazyness. The words are not "integrated" and only written in large box that ruin the drawings. But, the last ones are pretty good. We are waiting for the 17.

Then, about "cleaning". I don't think it's difficult too. BUT, the difficult part consists in re-drawing the part that have been wiped off when we put off the japanese words. We are good at ttis in fact. The name of the team is minnanomanga, created from fans who were mostly on the Ritual scan forge forum (the page where you can find the original scans commes from that forum ; ) )

anyway.

And about your translations, it's been 2 years since I have read it. You do a really good work. In fact, I take your translations, and then tranlate them in French. And, since we've been the only team translating the manga, I have no choice but to rely on you and your work.
Fortunately, your fast and good.
So, thanx.

Am I clear enough this time ?

Ah, I see. Please look at http://mangatranslation.com/cgi-bin/php ... php?t=1198. The links are there to a rapidshare for those files. Please let me know if you do something nice with those images, I would like to have stitched together images myself, and maybe do something with them for the art on this site. :)

I did two of the posters. There's a big gap to fill and draw ... pretty hard.
Some of them are really impossible to stich properly.
I'll do my best !

here are two of them

(please, no comment on the chosen posters ... )

I have also isolated each image of the ultragraphic 2006. I give you the archive.

http://jonjonfou.free.fr/MnM/Ultra.%20J ... s.2006.rar

enjoy.

(If you could host them somewhere, it would be great. I have to take those files away from my FTP as soon as possible. Notify me when it'll be done. thx)

May I recommend the Tenjo Tenge Gallery that Underdark has set up? http://gallery.underdark.com.br/

It is a great gallery and he's been hosting it for a few years now. I can't really host images here since I am at my monthly limit on the VPS that hosts this site. I could upgrade, but since I like to keep this free, I don't want to pour more money into this than I have to. :)

I did register, upload and do everything, but strangely enough, no images seem to be effectively in the gallery.

I'll wait tomorow ... but I don't understand ...
