I know it's not Ten Ten fan art ... but I really like this drawing ^^

I like the raw one better though ... I wanted the colour to be different, but I only noticed I was painting on my line art untill after it was halfway done ...

BTW~ my nick is LCZ128

Freddy : thanks dude XD
pv82 : well, i actually am starting out on a little manga/comic project ^^
slaYer : mrmm~ i started drawing since i was a little kid~ but only really got more serious with it in 1999~ and i've only been colouring on the comp since 2002~ :) (i think it was some time mid 2002)~ :)

---
Designs of characters and stuff for a potential manga idea~ ^^;
---
http://url65.photobucket.com/albums/v19 ... esign1.jpg
this started off as a cover idea~ but i hadn't designed the 'badguy' (top left) - and drew the 'hero' (front) and the 'heroine' (top right) ... well, all of them don't have final designs yet~

http://url65.photobucket.com/albums/v19 ... ign2_S.jpg
started with an idea that the dragon immortal ('badguy') had a drawgon skull as a helmet kind of thing- but as i kept drawing- the idea became less and less plausible and i am settling for something like the ones in the bottom right~

http://url65.photobucket.com/albums/v19 ... ign3_S.jpg
more detail and ideas for the armour he'll be wearing- this is sort of a ceremonial armour thing~ :)

http://url65.photobucket.com/albums/v19 ... ign4_S.jpg
and the hero guy~ ideas...

http://url65.photobucket.com/albums/v19 ... gn5I_S.jpg
more ideas- costume ideas and designs...
---

and a kind of preview ~ (i plan to have a preview of at least 3 pages~)

I'm working on something similar though I'm not as far along as you are. I'm looking forward to seeing more of your work in the future. One thing I'm wondering is what are their names?

I already saw and commented those on your deviantart page :D

The 'Immortality, not what it's cracked up to be-idea' reminds me of a story I was working on a few years ago, but I dropped it ... I do that too often -_-

someone asked how to get smoother colours and gradients in PS, well here's a tip for ya's, The Blur tool is your friend, in fact it's one of the major tools of manga artists using photoshop. Masamune Shirow uses it extensively just to point out an example.

edit: Also as mentioned above ( i think) use seperate layers using multiply and a really low opacity, i personally have almost all my brushes set on an opacity of 7%

edit no. 2: If anyone wnts to know more about the blur tool and achieving smmother colours just email me at incarna@dart.net.au and i'll be happy to explain more in depth and send ya's a small tut that i can create on it.

Interestingly (to me, and probably none of you) I just implemented Gaussian and average blurring in Java for possible drop-shadow filter effects in GMAO. A fun little side-project.

Oh, I thought you made it :D

Who says it was inspired by an Oh Great Pose ? :)

Kinda looks familiar, great artwork too, I've tried drawing Kasumi a few times some time back, but it never turned out how I wanted it :?

EDIT : might be fun to try and find the pose it's based on and post it with the art :D

It's a work in progress, but :

I'm going to colour her on my computer, thats why there are no details such as the lips and nose were drawn ;)

It took me a day of practice to start working on those curls :o

Anyway, I'm really glad of the result :D

I liked the idea of that huge hairdoo all to one side, so I did it

It's Izuzu by the way ... I hope you could tell :? :D

Yeah, same question !!!

Do you just clean your scan up and darken the lines or do you trace your original drawing onto a new layer ? :)

If you do the latter, I must say I'm impressed, seeing you do all of that with just a mouse :)

for that pic,
i made a new layer in photoshop and used the PEN tool to trace over the sketch. with each stroke, i use the 'stroke path with pressure' option with the PEN tool. :)

now- i've got a tablet, though :D

so- this was done today on that tablet ^^

Here's a TenTen sketch I actually uploaded into my album in the art gallery. I've been unsure if I wanted to put up any of my own stuff, but here you go. Hope you enjoy it and any future stuff I put up. Oh, I'm lazy and I don't feel like cropping it and posting it here.
