Volume 11 ?

Post by zidox »

Hey I'm new

I've got a question, when will volume 11 (or the first chapters) of tenjo tenge be released and translated on mangatranslation ?

Is it out already in Japan ?

It will be released in Japan sometime in March I think - I came across that date in one of the ultra jumps, but could be wrong.

It will show up on mangatranslation.com after that, and probably not too quickly.

Wasn't there a rumour ( or fact ) that volume 11 will come with a figurine again ? :D

oooh a figurine? that'll be nice. Seems like everything comes out in march, maybe cause thats the start of the fiscal year right?

Heck, you have been doing a good job so far, just keep doing what you do.

I hear in this volume Bob and Mitsuoni's bro will be spotlighted..

Is Ultra Jump really far ahead of the released Graphic Novels? Cause I have heard stuff about Nagi's dad showing up and it doesn't even seem like we are anywhere near that, by the end of Volume 10.

well I read chapters 67-68 where Bob fought with the chick from the F group.......but that was like 2-3 weeks ago, and my kino here in SF is 2-3 weeks behind from the NY one (and actual Japan one too) so I take it that TT is around the chapter 72-74 + or -....but when I read 67-68, Nagi's already gone from the story (probably kidnapped by his father like what someone said here in the forums) and his mom is messed up and in a bed or something......so I'm guessing that since vol 10 ended in 63, between 64-66 something happens cuz the focus is back to Bob, Masataka, and that chick-magnet dude......which is coolz.....

It'd be interesting to see ultra jump cross the pond. I'm not sure the market for a more mature rated anthology magazine would be that big though. Maybe to the playboy crowd..... but thats far fetched.

I'm waiting for more color work. I really liked the insert from vol 10.

It's in flash, and I don't know how to explain how to get to it. You'll either have to randomly click on links to see what happens or take my word for it, I'm afraid. Nothing much to see anyway. It's just a list of books, authors, and their shipping dates.

I've noticed quite a few people having trouble finding things on s-manga, I don't personally see the problem, it's really quite straight forward. Anyway i took a screenshot of the release date for TenTen 11 from the site.

Hope that helps

Since this is my first post I'd just like to say hiya to everyone. And Fugu, you do a crackin' job mate, really appretiate it!

Oh thank god it's not out til April 19th. I was afraid the God Of Translating had taken away the sweet nectar that is TJTG away from me because he didn't feel like doing it any more. Not that he couldn't do that if he wanted to. I love the work Fugu does for us un-edumacated folk that can't speak nor read japanese.

Almost no ruby (furigana for reading Kanji above the text) at all.

If you are interested in learning to read Japanese via manga (any of the manga that I translate, TJTG, Vulgar Ghost Daydream, Kagome Kagome, Dogs) email / PM me. I can give you links that have pop-up translations on the original Japanese (so you can try to read it, then see my translation to check what you understood.)

That is one of the main reasons that I got into translating manga in the first place - I thought it would be useful as a tool for second language learners. Also why I wrote the program that I use for translation...

Somebody has to write all those programs out there. Really anybody could do it (just like home remodelling, plumbing, arthroscopic surgery, etc). It just takes some learnin'. Check out http://www.oreilly.com/ for some pretty darned good programming and general computer-geek lore.

Has a cover image been released yet for Volume 11?

I might not be able to pick it out on the shelves when I am over there. If it comes with a figurine, that would be tight, I would buy 2.

It is supposed to come out on April 19th, so I have not yet seen the ISBN or cover posted. There was a shot of the alternate cover over on s-manga.net somewhere, I think.

I just said that it is supposed to be out on the 19th. The links I've checked (where I usually get ISBN numbers, etc) does not have anything posted for it yet.

Just wait a week or so and it will pop up.

 you mean like heavy metal does'nt sell well and for over twenty
odd years .ultra jump would do good as long as they kept their target
audience in mind just like shonen jump did.
