Colored Manga

Ohio! ^_^
This is my first post, but I've been reading the forum for a while now...
I found MangaTranslation.com a while back and fell in love with all things "Oh! Great". (I've also read "Majin-Devil")

Recently I was bored and decided to color some of my favorite scenes from TT. I don't think I'm quite done yet, but I would like to get some input from other fans. If there is enough interest I'll make some that are better suited for wallpapers. I would even like to make different versions with different colors and effects.
Any input would help. Thanks ahead of time!

"False Strength"
(My favorite. I'll definitely do many versions of this.)

"Dragon of Earth"
(This still needs work. I can't decide on a good color for the dragon. I have other versions of the dragon in red, gold, green, and blue...)

"Maya Recolor"
(I also like this one. Was in color, I just recolored it...)

If thoughs don't work try this... The pictures are hosted through Yahoo! Briefcase (the only free image host I could find...) so I think you'll need a Yahoo! ID...Sorry...

We wouldn't want to stop abusing your bandwidth just because there aren't any new chapters. That would be inconsiderate

Nice work! Especially with the Dragon pic. It turned out 100% better than I would have expected (based upon the original b/w artwork)

The Maya recolor is interesting - going and re-coloring with a different scheme what was already color...

I like false strength also.

Ahhh...

Thanks, it's nothing. I enjoy the detail work.

I'm trying to work on some new ones. I might have one done in a day or two. If anyone has any ideas on pages they want colored, I could give it a shot.

And I'll look into the image gallery, once I think they are ready, I'll definitely post some. ^_^
I also might ask for some larger scans sometime FuguTabetai...(I saw in some other posts I could e-mail you to get some)

Once agin you'll need a Yahoo! ID. It wouldn't fit on MangaTranslation.com's image gallery (it's almost a meg and that's about as small as it'll get...)

Hm ... The Group pi is just basics ... Hell, I could do it, not that I would ^^

Anyway, it's still nice, the Maya recolor is the best, but you didn't do the shading, or did you ?

No, it's not that hard, just takes some practice and patients...
The shading on the Maya recolor was the original shading. I might try my hand at that some day. For example, most of the shading on the pages (either because of the image format or the original manga) has a grainy look that I would like to fix. As soon as I figure out a good fix for that, I plan on "smoothing" out the shading on some of my pics...
Also, as a side note, I hand pick all the colors. It's just easier for me for some reason...
(I might color some VGD next, not too sure yet...)
