Are you sure it's not Yao Kazuki, who voiced Dark Schneider on Bastard!? Now he would be a great seiyuu for Tawara.
You're right. It should be Yao, not Nao. Thanks for pointing that out. I'll correct the detail.

Morikawa has been in a lot of anime. He's Griffith in Berserk.

Geneon USA has the rights to the Tenjou Tenge anime.
So that means it's going to be harder to find fansubbed copies of the TenTen anime. All the regular channels will only allow unlicensed anime distro.

I also heard that Geneon USA used to be Pioneer?? Is that right?

What I meant was when anime is licensed in the US, a lot of the more well known fansub groups don't sub or discontinue subbing that anime. I'm going to guess if we see any kind of fansubbed TenTen anime, it's going to be by an obscure group with maybe less than great tranlations.

Anime is probably licensed right off that bat in Japan, so if that's what you mean, yea you're probably right.

You can also go for the raws since you already know what's going to happen more or less in the first few episodes. Anyway, I would--since I would have to at least check what it's like before buying the dvds.

But man--is that Bob? It's like Masataka's just as muscular as he is! (Then again, Bob usually looks taller than he really is everytime he's placed side by side with Nagi.) Damn it. Bob's design looks like a different character altogether! He kinda looks more effeminate too. And Masataka looks more boyish here.

Yeah, whatever. I'd rather see them in action first before making any final judgments.

Character's heights

Post by Fulsion »

Remember that image in the manga/gallery with Nagi and Bob where they are being "police photographed", Bob is 195+ cm (2m+ if you include his dreads heh), Tahts around the height of most NBA basketball players. However, Mitsoumi (present day) isn't exactly short either (he's more than a head taller than Nagi when they first have their fight at the bowling alley). Masataka is a little taller than Nagi, nowhere near Bob's height. So I guess it's not really drawn to scale.

The finished product DOES actually look better than the designs.
But I'm still pissed about Bob, though. :x

All I can say it's gonna be heard picturing Yao Kazuki (Iketani from Initial D) as Tawara... Aside from that I am happy my two of my favourite seiyuu are in TenTen (Miki Shinichiro, never thought he'd be Bob, and Seki Tomokazu)...

I can't wait for April!!! Tenjou Tenge is the one anime I can't wait for!!!

Thanks to that pic on the top of the site, I'm starting to lose my patience. :) Damn, it does look better! Especially Mitsuomi! Even one of Aya's well-known poses from the manga is even shown there.

Things are looking good.

Now if there was just a promo clip available...

Mhhh, mhhh, looks better than I expected, actually. It seems that they really put some effort into it, the animation doesn't look like just a crappy ecchi-anime like Aika. :D

Your right, Bob really doesn't look that bad, but I think Masataka looks very different than the manga.
He looks like some of the short haired girls seen in different anime out their. The only one that comes to mind right now is Meryl from Trigun.
Not that he looks like Meryl, it's just the way the anime made him look is different somehow.

i think masataka is supossed to be a pretty guy, so looking more femenine is more appropiate.though, bob looks more like kagurasaga.

Yes, thanks a lot as well, Maya. That was certainly more informative in terms of what to expect.

The manga is going to get more exposure now with the anime nearing its debut. Let's hope that the anime turns out to be good.

That's true, the manga will get lots more exposure once the anime airs.

AnimeNewsNetwork.com has an entry for TT, including a list of seiyuu (and therefore characters):

http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/encyclo ... hp?id=3541

Chiaki appears to be in.

I'm kinda surprised at a the choice in seiyuu for Bob, though. Shinichiro Miki seems a bit weird a choice when you compare Bob's character to his other roles such as Allen Shezar in Escaflowne and Kurz Webber in Full Metal Panic!. . .

I'd have to agree it looks like the Past Arc won't be covered. Aside from no seiyuu for Shin, most anime series run 13 to 26 eps. Doing the while Past Arc would be a big commitment, taking up at least half the normal TV season. And that'd probably be a shortened version too. :D

But overall I don't see a good "stopping point" for the anime. Maybe they plan to make it a long running series? We can always hope so, haha.

Well, since the Manga hasn't ended yet, I think they might just do the present arc in the first season, and set up the past arc for a second season if it is popular enough.

I would like to see that happen anyway. I like the manga a lot, so I would hate to see the anime go and do the complete story the manga will cover, only compressed.

It will be hard to translate that song by M.C.a.T. - it was totally Japanese rap and hard to understand. The closing sone would be easy enough to translate, but it bored me to tears after about 10 seconds, so I didn't listen.

Naruto isn't licensed. 4Kids wants to aquire it but thats all thats been said. Rumors from other anime websites and message boards. Check out 4kids website. They would be more then eager to release this info and they have NOTHING on the topic of naruto whatsoever.

The only problem with licensed anime is finding what group is doing it when it first starts. Baka-updates list licensed stuff and so does anime-mircx but animesuki doesn't, thus why you would also see naruto still listed there.

Hell yeah, that was great! i dont see why all you creeps are whining about it. We just lucked out and got madhouse to animate it, and you all are moaning about not liking the voices?! geez...
I just cant wait till the second one is available. oh yeah, and when bunshichi finally makes an appearance, I know it'll be the greatest thing on earth. They better make him act as ridiculous as he does in the manga.
