Just read this off of http://natsumemaya.terminus.net.au/
It maybe just a rumor form that message board "Sa-i " but the way things are moving I started to think this would have to happen sooner of later.
A post to a message board on the Oh! great fansite Sa-i states that episode 10 of the Tenjou Tenge anime (to be broadcast on 3 June 2004) will be titled "Kioku" (Memory) and that that will be the start of the past arc. There's no source sited for the info, though.

just watched TenTen 10 raw.... disappointed in the past arc handling so far.

It looks like the past arc might be what... 3 episodes total? Shin's VA disappointed me A LOT. I was hoping for someone "cool" sounding but Shin sounds just like another gangster (simiar to Tawara though w/ Tawara I could expect it since he's more of a street fighting type of guy). Also when there are fights, they're doing that still-motion crap again so yea... :(

On the plus side though, Shin, Mana, and the rest of the crew looks pretty cool drawing wise (though it does take a bit to get used to Mitsuomi's hair color). Mana's VA sounded good too. So it's not a TOTAL lost.

Anyway, looks like episode 11 is when we see Shin in action and I guess 12 (if not 11) when Tawara kicks ass. yay

I stopped watching anime after I heard most of VAs in there. Geez...the only good VAs are Mitsuomi's and Isuzu's, I couldn't bear the rest of VAs, to be honest. I'll stick with manga.

WooHoo, they are back to freat animation with episode 10. You know it's an important episode to them, since they made sure to draw it right. I was getting rather disappointed with the previous episodes, as animation quality went downhill. I'm glad they are on the right track again.

And yeah, it feels a bit rushed, but only because they desided to skip most of the volume 4. Remember that volume 4 concerns the "Aya running away" storyline and the animators obviously desided to do that storyline after the Shin Saga, so I'm not to sorry for now.

Shin does sound a lot like Bunshichi to the point where I started thinking they are one and the same seiyuu, but personally I'm cool with that. I like the anime-version of Shin.

I really do hope that the keep the quality going. With the best story-arc approaching fast, it would be a shame if the Tawara-Emi, Tawara-Shin and Shin-Mitsuomi fights were poorly animated.

Oh, and the younger versions of everyone are VERY good. Maya-chan was always more appealing in the flashbacks, if you ask me.

shins VA sounds a bit like me.
funny i guess, because at the moment i look more like tawara than shin (my hair had to be cut, it was allb roken due to the many bleeching times).
and my beard.. funny.

but he looks so damn old in the anime.
and he is huge.
he comes like 7-8 ft...
strange..
but i think the next epis will be better. i think its a good idea to introduce the maya runs away after th epast arc. at least for me...

I wonder if they are going to cut out whole the Mana-Mit part out. Yes, it's mostly fanservice, but I think its play an important in the story.

nah that part is in epi 11.
but its different, showing absolutly nothing.
you ca imagine what happened but thats all.
they really hurried up with the past story arc, seeing shin kicking ass from the middle/end of volume5 also in episode 11.
i think they are rushing it, it, the best story arc in the complete manga series.
maybe they do release a animated feature from the past story arc...

Wow, like a meeting or a scene at her place???? Its seems like a waste to rush this arc when you got about 15 episodes left to tell the story correctly :? .

I hope the spend more time doing good fights scenes (Enough with the still motion, I've seen better fight scenes on Avenger). If they keep going fast what are the going to do around ep. 20. NO FILLER :x

Does anybody know if there is a torrent anywhere for episode 11 yet?

really rushed...
That part happens in the same chapter as Shin beating the crap out of those guys. And its only like the 4th chapter of the past arc. You've got to remember that there was that chapter inbetween the end of the last episode and this one set at Masatakas place. So they aren't rushing the past arc itself.

What's keeping them ?

The first episode only took three days, now it's been three *weeks*

They were faster when they were still just [a-s]

Episode 7 and 8 were released on the same day (or weekend) ... Let's hope we get 9, 10 and maybe even 11 in the same weekend too then ...

What's keeping them? Real life maybe?

Why don't you learn Japanese, spend time to translate stuff, put it out on the intraweb and then get yelled at for it?

By the way, for all those people who can't seem to use a search engine to find other torrent aggregation sites, you can try http://www.inevitability.net/torrents.php which seems to have up to ep 9 of Tenjo Tenge. Note that I'm not particularly interested in the anime, so I don't know if it is raw, subbed or whatever.

bt is slow man. if you do need the eps, go to the fansubbers irc channels and get it through their bots. 300+kb rate :) AnimeOne, Aoi-Anime, and Anime-Station are the major fansub groups I know that are doing TT. So yea, go to their irc chans to get any eps you're missing. And as far as I know, and as someone else has said, only up to 8 has been subbed.

btw, just got TT 11 raw. I'll put up some caps in a bit after I watch it.

I doubt IRC would be as fast if it had to distribute as many copies as go out through BitTorrent distribution methods. I've found BitTorrent to be quite fast usually. If BitTorrent is slow for you, check to make sure that you don't have ports 6881-6889 firewalled.

^ *shrugs* I'll check about that, but yea.. if I want the ep ASAP going through irc is a lot faster for me. To each to their own right?

TT 11 actually wasn't bad, and if the pace is as it currently is (and what I can remember from the past arc) I can see the past arc going to probably episode 14-15. S'all good to me. Anyway, our favorite street-fighting porn loving char was def the "comedic relief" in this episode as we all find out more about Shin. Enjoy the caps below!

Hey did you notice they added the part where Mitsumi is about to kiss Mana before the phone rings, he doesn't do that in the manga. In fact, I don't think they ever kissed (they were busy talking or  behind Shins back the whole time)

The anime was licensed by Geneon on the 9th, so a lot of groups stopped subbing.

The anime was licensed by Genon since before it was released. You mean Genon decided to distribute in the US? Now that is interesting. I'd much prefer being able to pick up a DVD actually, so I don't have to waste my time hunting this stuff down, downloading it, and then watching on my computer. In fact, I gave up after the first 2 eps because it is just too much of a pain. But a DVD I could handle. Cool.

Watched episode 12. Oh my god, it was freaking hilarious!  Lots of our favourite Bunshichi-moments.

I especially loved the scene where Tawara is checking out Emi's behind and one os Katana-members' face appears on it. I was rolling around laughing. I don't think it was in the manga, but I was great fun Bunshichi-style. 8)

Anyway, the Bunshichi vs. Shin fight will be in episode 13, it seams. I am not sure, but I am guessing that it will take a couple of episodes.

I get all my licensing information from http://www.animesuki.com, and I think they go by licensing announcements, which is as good as intent to distribute.

EDIT: That address doesn't always work, but http://animesuki.sandwich.net/ is a decent mirror.
