Tenjo Tenge Episode 4 What the ......!!!!!
Hi guys here nerozan with some news on TenTen episode 4
I finished downloading the episode waiting to see another great episode of TenTen.
To my surprise it begins when masakata is dreaming and fighting a dragon to save aya. If you read the manga you will remember that when he does it, nagi enters in a form of a snake or something and talk about the size of his p*nus , masakata thinking that is small (we don

Well, this is really standard practice for all manga to anime releases (of course, there are notable exceptions). Obviously since TT anime is released before TT itself will be concluded, it would be no surprise if they added in fillers and/or end prematurely.
Then again, we ALL know how raunchy TT was, so obviously, the anime version must be toned down significantly to reach more audiences...(otherwise it'd be a late late night show...)

Let me tell you, TenTen is already a late night show. It is broadcasted at 2 a.m. every Thrusday night.TakCWAL wrote:Then again, we ALL know how raunchy TT was, so obviously, the anime version must be toned down significantly to reach more audiences...(otherwise it'd be a late late night show...)
Personally, I was disappointed a bit, since it really was a pretty good joke and the way they've done it was confusing. But honestly I don't consider it a huge mistake. For all we know, it could have been the translator's mistake. After all, the sub was done by a-s&aoi. And Aoi are former ^_^, and those a former junkies. Need I remind you about mass naked child events?
Anyway, it was alright. They showed the rest of the show uncencored. Even for Maya's scene they have deleted the "strategic steam" from the manga, and that was nice.
Guess its my fault, I didn't even bother picking up the anime, so I wouldn't know. Don't see the point in it, really.

Bunshichi in episode 4
Yeah, I agree that Bunshichi has a pretty godawful voice. He sounds like some little jerkoff that goes around eating garbage. And why the hell did they color his hair silver? that looks real sucky. Also, when he called Mitsuomi's brother "cute", kinda made me wanna barf. Bunshichi is my fav character, and so far they've made him kinda suck on the show.
Just finished watching ep 4 myself. Pretty good, great to finally hear Mitsuomi's voice. Good choice so far from the few words he has said. bunshichi might take some time getting used to, I've heard the VA before. He usually plays joe-smoe scub badguy ###. It'll be interesting to see if he'll play Bunshichi well or not.
Best scenes.... Nagi and the dragon was pretty pimp. The night scene with Maya mad sexy. Chiaki and Aya... HOT

man they totally screwed up everything, removing the penis joke was so bad man. but well when i saw that masataka didnt have his manga costume i knew something was wrong.
and tawara is so bad man :/. and i dont get it, why dont they show boobs? no im not a hentai freak but for god sake midori no hibi has boobs and that show is ment for 12-13 year olds and runs around noon!

Umm...I don't know what any of you are talking about Tawara Bunshichi haveing silver hair. He has always had that in the manga... >_> It kind of reminds me of when people where saying Aya didn't have light brown hair.
I thought Bunshichi's voice was fine but I'll have to hear more to realy tell.
Next ep should be vary good! ^_^

1. Tawara has brownish purple-blue hair, not silverSacrin wrote:Umm...I don't know what any of you are talking about Tawara Bunshichi haveing silver hair. He has always had that in the manga... >_> It kind of reminds me of when people where saying Aya didn't have light brown hair.

2. Aya DOESN'T have light brown hair in the manga
3. Are you colourblind, because seriously, I don't want to be rude or anything, but that's the second time you get weird around coulours
BTW : The white hair SUCKS on Tawara
Man, they butcherd this anime, they took out all the good and funny parts. After seeing up to episode three i decided to give up on it, the lack of fanservice makes me very uninterested.

really? Cause I like Maya's VA.... and I hate to say it, but I kinda get used to Aya's VA. There was actual a line or two where she actually sounded pretty cool.Saito wrote:lol i thought maya and aya had like the worst VA's everFulsion wrote:Well you gotta find it a little annoying how Mitsoumi/Bunshichi got the Silver Hair Treatment too (in the manga it's only Shin/Maya that have it, which works better).
Best voice so far is Maya's IMHO (in chibi form too)
aya's and maya's voice are soooo bad, i almost stopped watching the anime when she said to nagi how he could lose against masataka those line's where horrible really i almost cried that bad !!(imo though)moyism wrote:really? BTW, fanservice is NOT just panty shots.
Fanservice, by definition, is anything that is not related to the style or substance of the show/manga, but is put into the show/manga to stimulate and excite fans. Service to the fans = fanservice.
This could be anything ranging from shower scenes to cameos of famous characters. Panty shots and titillation is usually very common types of fanservice, but it does not end with them.
Tenjou Tenge is NOT a fanservice manga, because all the big breasts, panty shots and sex scenes are there as part of the general concept of the manga. Oh!great did not put it there just for instanateous gratification. It is there because it fits into the plot and style of Tenjou Tenge (as someone has eloquently put it "teenagers with severe attitude problems scuffle. Also, boobies.") If anything, TenTen is ecchi, not fanservice.
Fanservice, on the other hand, is purely redundant. It can be out of the picture and nothing will change. Can you imagine Tenjou Tenge without the nudity and fighting? I can't.

^Couldn't have said it better myself. And big boobs don't necessarily equal fanservice. It's just the author's preference.
Heh, she's one of my favorites actually. I particularly like her mature roles more. But yeah, just like moyism said--it's just one's personal opinion.Shihbang wrote:Maya's VA is Hisakawa Aya, who is pretty experienced doing both cute voices (Skuld in Ah! My Goddess) and mature characters also (Warrior Empress Nakajima Yoko in Juuni Kokki, and Shitou Haruka in RahXephon). How come some of you guys don't like her?
Okay, yeah, sorry about the dumb rhetorical question regarding seiyuus - everyone has their own preferences. And fanservice is awesome, as long as it doesn't get in the way - almost always does, though - like in Fumoffu. I think Tenjo Tenge, especially the manga, is beyond fan service for sure - it's fully in the realm of ecchi. That awesome hot springs scene...
haha, thats definately not true. Oh! Great created Ten Ten as a fanservice manga IMO. What is the genenral concept of the manga by the way? So a girl being raped in a van fits into that concept? He definately put it for instanateous gratification. I mean look at all the images, almost all of the colored images has a half naked or naked girl in it. Thats not for instanateous gratificaction? Meh, you gotta be kidding me.MrProphet wrote:

Mostly everytime a female fights, her clothes always rip and reveal her boobs or panties. I don't think it get any more obvious than that.
I mean this is a guy that worked on hentai doujins so its not suprising, and i guess its hard for him not to make the manga a fanservice one.
Theres some cool fighting but from what i've seen, theres more sex and fanservice combined that there is fighting in it. Not that i'm complaining about the fanservice though, thats actually the reason why i like it.
I can definately imagine Tenjo Tenge without fighting in it, since i mostly read it for the nudity. If you can't imagine it then read Silky Whip, its a hentai doujinshi from Oh! Great. Most of the characters looks exactly the same so its like the full hentai version of Ten Ten.MrProphet wrote: Can you imagine Tenjou Tenge without the nudity and fighting? I can't.

That girl in volume 10. I believe she was taking care of that little boy that can create illusions. There was a bunch of guys in the van doing crazy things to her and you even saw her fluids all over the place...zip wrote:raped in a van??

What purpose would a scene like this serve that to satisfy the perverted fans that reading it? hehe
That scene simply showed that people working for Tsumuji Junior were sick freaks, just like Tsumuji himself.
I didn't get any kicks out of it, and I doubt anyone did. So no fanservice there.
As for the rest, well, everyone is entitled to their own opinion, I just described mine and supported it with arguments.

Just watched ep 4, got to say I was disappointed along with alot of you guys over the same stuff. Masataka saves Aya in his school uniform?? pretty lame. What I did think was interesting was Masataka trying to be diplomatic with the enforcement group, and gets totally punked by Izuzu "the president had a message for you" "Come back when you grow out of diapers" I think ? I'm still confused as to whether Mitsumi hates Masataka or wants him to get stronger?? I would like to see a confrontation later down the line. The only thing I like about ep 4 was Maya

Enma Enmi. And that was just sick. I didn't like any of it.Crimson wrote:That girl in volume 10. I believe she was taking care of that little boy that can create illusions. Maybe the reason they placed that in there was to provoke emotion in the reader and give a glimpse into the darkside of the "F" just like when Chiaki was raped, I don't think Bob would have been as passionate about fighting against the enforcement group had it not been for that (IMO).FuguTabetai wrote:Enma Enmi. i thought episode 4 was good but i do agree that bunshichi sounds pretty gay for now. He is my favorite char too and god the hair color is killing me lol. It would look best just white but oh well. I also think the whole only 26 episodes thing is gonna be weird unless they are thinking of making a second season b/c that's bloody short. overall though i think they are doing a pretty awesome job so far.
Oh Great! made Hentai Mangas, not doujins, doujins are fan-made mangas, based on an already existing series.Crimson wrote: I mean this is a guy that worked on hentai doujins so its not suprising, and i guess its hard for him not to make the manga a fanservice one.
You'd have to be one sick twisted F*ck to have gotten your kicks out of something like thatMrProphet wrote:I didn't get any kicks out of it, and I doubt anyone did. So no fanservice there.
Anyway, IMO it's wrong to read Ten Ten just for the fan service and nudity, if you tell me that's the main reason you're reading this manga, you should just go find yourself a hentai manga. Ten Ten has a great story, I don't even mind the cut in the nudity department with the anime conversion. Although I don't like some of the changes they made ...
That depends if you find something like that satisfying... It's not simply rape but also torture, if you ask me. Seriously, I hope you're not implying that a scene like that is there for fanservice.Crimson wrote:That girl in volume 10. I believe she was taking care of that little boy that can create illusions. Whatever. To each his own.
It was a rape-as-part-of-torture. As for it being "fanservice," there were certainly other ways to show a character being tortured. Oh Great likes drawing naked women, so if there is a scene in which you could come up with a reason for a naked woman to be present, Oh Great is likely to provide it. As you may already know (if you've seen some of his hentai stuff), he has never been above putting those naked women into some extremely distasteful situations.kujoe wrote:That depends if you find something like that satisfying... I didn't find that satisfying actually. I thought that part was very sick, i just brought that up as an example of some of the pointless sex/turtore scenes in the manga.kujoe wrote:That depends if you find something like that satisfying... And yeah, i definately think that part was put in there for fanservice. If Oh! Great just wanted her to be tortured if wouldn't have had her naked with her fluids all over the place. And its not like she was crying out for help or whatever, she actually seemed like she was enjoying it which is how Oh! Great wanted it to be.
There are also alot of other scenes in the manga thats there for pure fanservice.
Well, i don't just read it just for the fanservice but IMO,the fanservice is actually more enjoying that the story itself. I don't exactly think the story is GREAT as you said, i've read alot of other fighting manga's which are alot better than Ten Ten. The story is ok..., but it doesn't hold my interest all that much.Banorac wrote:Anyway, IMO it's wrong to read Ten Ten just for the fan service and nudity, if you tell me that's the main reason you're reading this manga, you should just go find yourself a hentai manga. When did reading a manga for the things it presented became wrong? So theres a set reason why a person should read a certain manga? -_-
A hentai manga would be totally different because that would just be sex sex and more sex. Like i said, i like the fanservice and i don't think much people will read a hentai manga just to see fanservice, they read it because they want to see people having sex.
I also love Oh! Great's artwork so there, thats another reason why i like Ten Ten.
I didn't like that scene either, and actually i've talked about how sick that part was on a few other forums.MrProphet wrote:That scene simply showed that people working for Tsumuji Junior were sick freaks, just like Tsumuji himself.

You don't know how everyone thinks, feels or act so don't assume that no one didn't get any kicks out of that part. Just because you didn't it doesn't mean no one did.

Just curious, what are some examples? I do think the TenTen story is pretty good - better than a lot of the stuff that I have read.Crimson wrote:I don't exactly think the story is GREAT as you said, i've read alot of other fighting manga's which are alot better than Ten Ten. I like the mix between fanservice and fighting. sorry dude, but hunterXhunter has the suckiest story telling ever... and the art is constantly degrading, i know the dude is sick or something, but the manga is just boring now after the thing with ryodan is over... the greed island was 'meh' and the new 'chimera ant people' arc just sucks ass.
yu yu hakusho is a little better, but for a fighting manga, TT is more involving.
naruto can be compared with dragonball, except its not cheesy and has some of the best characters ive seen, and i like it. but TT is more mature and again more involving at some points.
bleach is cool, black cat too. but theyre hardly as interesting as TT... theyre just typical fighting manga.
point is, each manga got something different to offer, and the target audience is different.
My opinion : i believe TT is a great manga, the author gets a little distracted here and there, but im loving the way things are turning out. its not as consistant or focused as Beresek or balde of the immortal, but its just as fun to read.
$0.02

True, but not everybody who sees that scene will automatically equate it with "fanservice" at first glance. Well, at least for me anyway--despite knowing Oh Great's familiarity with the ero genre.burrowowl wrote:It was a rape-as-part-of-torture. Yes, Yu Yu Hakusho was good, and I actually found Grappler Baki surprisingly interesting too. The latter in particular was a good psychoanalytic exercise on a basic and reductionist level. And yes, I was serious on that one. I have nothing to say about Naruto since it doesn't even interest meCrimson wrote:Hunter X Hunter, Yu Yu Hakusho, Naruto, Bleach, Black Cat, Grappler Baki.
But Hunter X Hunter and Black Cat? I didn't like them at all.
Anyway, I hardly think those qualify as "better" though. Just like some readers, I regard TenTen as a mix of fighting and ecchi fanservice. I don't think it's purely fanservice, but that's just me. It's obvious that we have different opinions, so let's leave it at that.

From those I haven`t read only Grappler Baki and Bleach..but the rest? I don`t think any of them are as good story-wise as TT. Especialy HxH..it has pathetic storyline and now also pathetic art(the worst I`ve seen in professional manga). How is the storyline in HxH pathetic? The art is very good, its just that currently the manga artist is not very healthy so the chapters in jump may look bad but he re-do them for the book releases.AdrianWerner wrote:From those I haven`t read only Grappler Baki and Bleach..but the rest? I think the story in HxH is alot better than TT. I'm not going to make a long debate over this but just do some reseach on Naruto or HxH and you'll see how much popular those two are than TT.
