New TT Merchandise

Post by Agent_Wax »

Just picked up my volume of UJ on Monday, and it came with an ad for some really nice merchandise. I'm surprised neither Fugu nor Natsumemaya brought this up. The items are SD Isuzu mousepads, a Bushichi Zippo, and an MD Player softcase with a very nice design that I wouldn't mind seeing on T-shirt.

There's a picture on http://ultra.shueisha.co.jp/UJ89/UJ89Present.html.

Damn, that zippo is sweet. But what I'm really waiting for are some cool TenTen gashapons or trading figures. It's gotta happen sooner or later, since the anime will open the door to more merchandise :D

I only tend to write about stuff that people in the West can have some access to. Even in relation to the art collection which was generally only available from Manga no Mori, people can buy it through friends, proxies or Tokyo Central. But competitions would be much harder for people. They'd have to buy the magazine, fill out the application and send it in, all before the deadline (which is usually within a month of the issue's publication). In addition, I assume these competitions are only open to people in Japan. I'm busy enough as it is without writing about competitions which almost no one is going to be able to enter :)

In any event, IIRC I did refer to Oh! great mousepads in the other thread about his works :P

Yeah that lighter is cool

I think is kinda funny to see Bushichi in the lighter.
If you remember in some chapter he light on the cigarrete of the woman that was member of the katana. Very Cool

I think the lighter says that if this can light on your cigarrete, I WILL!!!!!
:D :D :D

The other things are also cool, but I will be more interested in seeing some wallscrolls with manga drawings.

What do you guys want to see?
What kind of merchandise would be good for Tenjo Tenge?

TJTG merchandise

Aya's bento box
Masataka's super strong chopsticks
chibi Maya doll that you can carry on your shoulder
Nagi's jacket
Bob style dreadlock wigs... (had to come up with something)

Tagami Shirou's scull print bandana
Sagara's wrestling mask
Mitsuomi's body suit
Isuzu Emi throwing knives (might be dangerous for small kids but then if you are a small kid, you shouldn't be reading TJTG. go play with Yugioh cards)

I actually wouldn't mind a bento box with some TJTG design.
What else?

Did they? Or are you thinking of the Nagi/Bob bandana which came with an earlier issue of Ultrajump?

They did a giveaway of the bandana that Aya took from Tagami to tie around her boobs in the bowling alley fight. This was a while back though... I just saw it while I was in Japan, so I don't have any pointers I can give you or anything, but I think I'm remembering correctly.

I wonder if that MD case would work with an iPod ...

Any tips on where to purchase all this stuff?
