TJTG Cosplay II

Post by hitori »

I have to admit that up till now I had no appreciation for the cosplaying community.
But after coming arcoss many of the works while searching for TJTG cospre's I have gained some respect.
I still won't spend time and money trying to dress like comic book characters, but I do see their dedication and skills.

Anyways, here is a group photo.
Name them all.
If you can't, leave and don't come back until you can.

Aya.
I much perfer this darker scheme over the flourecent cheap color used in the anime.

This is from an official promotional booth for TJTG anime.

TJTG Cosplay II

Thanks TakCWAL, I spent some time talking to the costume community to
find out which people actually did good job with TJTG costumes. 8)

But may I ask to keep at least this thread limited to talks about cosplay?
I originally imagined a community archive type of thread where people
can post works of TJTG cosplay.

I'll try to bring some good photos, so please. :D

Ha ! I'd take a picture of me in my Nagi-like coat, though it doesn't have the pattern inside and I'm not blond, not forgetting that hairdoo is impossible !

Actually, I'm quite surprised that there are a number of female fans for something like TT. I know that the audience for manga and anime are composed of diverse people, but wow.

Heh, I think they're loving the fact that women can kick ass too. Well, some of the male characters don't look that bad either.

The most dedicated fans are female, even for shounen. Naruto's author told in an interview that 90% of the mail he receives about his manga comes from girls. Generally boys do not bother spending time writing letters or making costumes.
I hope that the cute girl disguised as Isuzu doesn't plan to imitate the fat form  .

Where'd you think "Crazy Rabid Fangirls" comes from ? :D

Man, I wish I lived in a country where you could draw swords in public and not have 10 officers and a dog jump you =/

Those probably aren't real blades. Even in Japan today you need to be licensed to own a real one. Unless you're Yakuza. Or Quentin Tarantino.

Heh, down where I live, it's illegal to carry a sword in a public place. It's not illegal to own them or sell them though. When I buy swords I have to wrap them up in a jacket and chuck it in a "bag for carrying golf clubs" :)

The photos were taken down because I thought most people had seen it by now.
I might repost later, but for now they are gone.

search

Post by hitori »

You can't ask Google for "Tenjou Tenge Cosplay" or something so specific like that.
Try searching for "Cosplay" and find out what sites have cosplay photo posting boards.
Then you can search the photos to find specific costumes.

But if you can read and write Japanese, go directly to JP cosplayer sites.
That's what I did.
I asked the owners and visitors of some cosplay sites where I might find good TJTG costume photos.
