Help me, I can't stop myself.
"Lo, there do I see my father. Lo, there do I see my mother, my sisters, and my brothers. Lo, there do I see the line of my people. They do call to me. They bid me take my place among them. In the halls of Valhalla. Where the brave, may live, forever."

That's from the actual anime??! You know, I've been debating whether to buy the DVDs, and right now the odds don't look good...

But the girl cosplaying Aya is really pretty though. :)

That Reiki looks a bit strange, there's a shopped lens flare on it, and if it really is that long, where's the hilt? Even at that angle we should see some of it, it just seemingly cuts off into her dress.

BTW personally I am not a fan of this girl (and her Aya/Maya partner), she doesn't nearly look genki enough (look at her, she looks like she hasn't had sleep for a week and ready to cut your balls off and feed them to you ! SMILE plz ! and wheres the antenna)

I think that could be completely natural. I suspect the hilt is there, but it is dark, as is her blazer there, and JPG compression doesn't do a good job at that sort of thing.

Um... I think you are being overly critical; how many people do you know that would have the courage to dress up as a character, take pictures, and put them up on the net? And, one could also argue that Maya and Aya have plenty of reasons not to smile...

That's interesting.
I thought everyone would recognize that photo as an edited work.
Normal swords are not that long.
Take a look at this:

I have to agree with Fugu.
You are being overly critical here.

I've found quite a few photos of TJTG cosplay and I'm posting only what I think are the best works.
As for Maya's antennae, I just haven't found one that I liked yet. [shrug]

But since you mentioned it, here's one.
Maya and Mitsuomi (you can tell because of the eyebrows  )

nice pics again (well.. the first one at least)
the second one... dunno... Souichirou kinda looks like a woman, or maybe even gay, now that would turn out like a nice plottwist in the manga :D

Well, if I was (it wasn't my intention) and I offended you (or them, or whoever) then I apologise... I never did say she looks bad or was a bad cosplayer (I think most cosplay is quite decent, except stuff like "manfaye")... she just looks kind of scary with that killer look and all.

About the sword, I guess normal katanas definitely aren't that long (my longest has a blade of about 35/6 inches), however one of my uncles has one that has a blade length of almost 50 inches (I'd get a pic but right now he lives in USA, I live Down Under)
