Hi all,

So, I don't know if any of you use the Character lists. They are generated automatically (not every time I translate a page, but generated automatically when I decide I want to update the character list) so it is easy to make them. I like how there can be little portraits for each person.

There are some "people" that I don't have portraits for though. Does anyone want to contribute little icons for these?

<li>Sound Effect: This is always the #1 most frequently ocurring "character" and I don't have a nice icon for it...
<li>Narration: Shows up in a few volumes.
<li>Student: Shows up all over the place. I use this for just general students that don't play a large role in the series.
<li>Person: Same as above.
<li>Writing: For sign text and whatnot
<li>Answering Machine: from volume 1. Don't really need it.
<li>From volume 2: Police, customer, businessman. Not important.
<li>From Volume 4: Master Toudou.
<li>Souichirou's mother
<li>From Volume 5: Taxi Driver. (Actually speaks more than Fu Chi'en!)
<li>Fu Chi'en (I would like a nice one of him...)
<li>Nurse (well, not necessary, but it would be nice.)
<li>From Volume 6: Iwaki Kenjiro (the flat head)
<li>Biker
<li>Master Toudou
<li>Fu Chi'en (of course, I just need 1 image of him...)
<li>Ninja!!
<li>Teacher (just a general teacher pic...)

of course, any from Vol 7 that pop up would be nice. I can do these, but if I do it, it takes time away from translation... And since we seem to have so many graphics people here willing to help, I thought I would put out the request.

2) if i still had my computer. i'm using the old one. i can't even scan the Bunchishi/Maya wallpaper i drew

I guess people don't know about or use the Character lists I put up. Well, if you go to the main site, there is a "Character List" page in the navigation panel. If you look at one of two of the lists, I'm sure you would understand what I'm talking about.

Sup Fugu. Actually I do look at the character lists occassionally. I can do some portraits. It might be a while though because I have finals n other things at the moment. Perhaps during spring break (next week) I'll have some time. I don't really know which ones I'll do, but if you could update the list to indicate if any of the portraits have submissions already, I can fill in the holes.

There are some neat new characters coming up... I hope people will help out with litle portraits of the characters snipped from the translation. I would do it, but it takes time away from translation...

yes, that is exactly it. That is how I made the avatars from TJTG... Just take a look at http://tjtg.mangatranslation.com/charac ... cters.html and make some cut out portraits for the people that don't have them...

I should re-generate the list to get the new people up there. I'll do that tomorrow...

thanks, but you didn't do the hard part ... cutting out the backgrounds (and setting up transparency correctly...) Anyway, I'll probably snag a few of those when I get some time.

Ok, thanks, I've added those to the character list for all the volumes and for volume 7. I'll go back later and re-generate the other volumes (6, 5, etc.)
