Bah, I don't like action figures, those joints are always ugly, 'd be better if they'd release them in 'non-action'

Huh? There's one on ebay now that you can buy for $42 shipped to Europe, so you can probably get it for even less if you look around.

$20 is what...a price of a pretty nice dinner (for one person).
Next time you do something with your gf, instead of going out, cook a dinner.
You'll save lots of money and earn points from her.
She never has to know you did that to save money for toys.

ps. yes I do realize I am a pussy for cooking chicks dinners. but it works...

Depends(I paid about that to get last years calendar), and uh you were the one complaining about it costing $70 because of shipping and I was just finding of an example where it didn't. One auction had shipping for $10, or is that still too much? (probably a dumb question on a forum where people come to get free manga scans)

I of course can't use that excuse as I don't have a girlfriend ...

and I just think it's ridiculous that shipping costs are so high ! And the 70$ was when I wanted to buy it in a shop here, who already had made the shipping costs...

By the way, I don't come here for free scans, I come here for the subject, I have all French volumes of Ten Ten.

For the record, I like cooking. It is a skill like any other worth studying and perfecting.

I don't spend on 'nice dinners' & fancy clothes so that I can afford books, manga, and anime, and not steal them off the internet. You can't have your cake AND eat it, not unless you are also a thief.

Damn, I would definitely kill for that Isuzu-figures... especially that one with the white dress, hrrrr, she would look so pretty on my bookshelf. :/

Is there any chance or possibility that one could import these figures into Germany? I haven't found any of these on eBay, so I thought I could ask here...

Now, I'm not really into international Manga-shops... the only "EMS" I know is called Extended Memory System, and that's a DOS-thing...

So please, enlighten me and tell me the URL of that EMS :)

EMS is a Japanese post service. It delivers around the world.

http://www.animaxis.com/en/help/charge.asp

To ship to Europe it would cost you around $34 (for these figures).

Also, if you don't want to use Animaxis, you can try HLJ.com, they deliver to Europe as well.

Those look AMAZING! I can't wait to get them.

whoa... sweet!

too bad even *I* can't rationalize the $100 cost for it. BTW, if anyone is going to order from animaxis I can say I've had nothing but perfect experience with them. Since they charge you for the more expensive S&H, you usually get the orders within an week (i.e. ordered the Mai-HiME 6 capsules figures on monday and it was already at my house by friday!). Well, at least that's been my experience (shipping to the US of course)

man... I ssooo want 'em too but no, literally no money for anime-related goods until May (I hope). They look even better than the $100 Maya one I got (and semi-broke   ) an year ago (the one where's she wearing the get-up from the bowling alley 'arc').

edit: HLJ has 'em too, sale separately for $30 each (before S&H).

edit^2: dang... NOW it's tempting to get at least ONE of them. Which one... Aya or Maya.... argh.....

edit^3: for those really lazy, Maya and Aya

If they could save one for me in stock till summer holiday (when I will finally have some spare cash) I could buy it because they look awesome. (why oh why Maya's ribs are visible...she looks like she has anorexia or sth :( - I guess it's the only flaw those 2 figures have)

WTF?? You can't order them with oter items...bleh I always try to use as much space in one order to save on shipping, but it seems I can't do it with those. Plus the shipping is crazy...
I guess I'll pass on this one...

Something tells me this is going to be sold out.

Aya fig is nicer, in my opinion. Aya-chan is so cute in it. But I can't pass on Maya. 8)))

I tempted to get the Aya figure, if anything else cause I already have a Maya one. However, I do think the Maya one looks a lot cooler (maybe cause of the "dark" tones and colors they used). Aya is still pretty nice looking though as I like how her hair flows.

blast it... get the Aya one or not... eh... I still got about an week to decide before HLJ closes off the pre-orders.

Get the preorder for Pinky Street Maya fig. It's just $13, and Maya is just hilarious in it. 8)

But i'd get a BOME fig too. It's just a too good of an opportunity. 8)

From the Little Harlock Newslog:-
06.02.2005
Oh! Great News:
- While Shûeisha´s March release list doesn´t state anything new on Tankôbon 13 for
Oh! Great´s Tenjô Tenge, the list does state that there´s sort of an anime guide book
released for Tenjô Tenge. The few details so far:

Tenjô Tenge - Anime Book
Release Date: 2005/03/18
ISBN: 4-08-876779-9

- Avex Mode´s Official site for the Tenjô Tenge anime adaption had a rather massive
update. Let´s start with the figure news part of the update.
At last some release news regarding the long anticipated figure collaboration between
jp. hobby company Kaiyodo and Avex Mode for Tenjô Tenge.
As I wrote in my 200409/23 entry Kaiyodo exhibited on last years Wonder Festival
some Gashapon, figures and little busts for the Tenjô Tenge anime.
Now the Official site by Avex Mode states , that the first part
of the collaboration, the TenTen Gashapon set sculptured by Takeshi Miyagawa will
be released at the upcoming Wonder Festival Winter 2005, held at Tokyo Big Sight
on 2005/02/20. The price per figure will be 300 Yen (incl. tax, the set consists
of 5 figures in total).
Furthermore at WF details on the release of the other Tenjô Tenge figures by Kaiyodo
will be announced and the next part of the collaboration which will be released are
the Tenen figures sculptured by Kaiyodo´s Katsuhisa Yamaguchi.

- Now the news regarding the Tenjô Tenge anime release. First of all, the SPECIAL
DVD (see my 2004/12/12 entry for details) got postponed according to Avex Mode´s
site (see the link above). The updated details:

Tenjô Tenge - SPECIAL DVD ~ THE PAST CHAPTER
Catalog Number: AVBA-22214 | Release Date: 2005/03/30
Price: 3,000 Yen excl. tax
Contains:
• A re-edited version of the Kako-hen (Past chapter/arc), Kako-hen Special-ban
(Special version)
• Character PV
• Tenjô Tenge art data collection
First Press comes with:
• KATANA Logo Sticker

- Additional the site states that the Tenjô Tenge OVA DVD (see my 2005/01/29 entry
for details) will come with a special box as first press, illustrated by the TV
(and OVA) character designer Takahiro Umehara.
Other firstpress goodies included are special made trading cards.

Plenty of gimmicks and recycled, repackaged material, almost nothing original for longtime fans. Typical.

I'd forgive them trying to milk this cow, if the cow had any milk to spare...

Unfortunaly, TenTen anime was quite a dud in this respect...

PS Still, I can't wait for the Isuzu pinky st. and bome figs

Again from the Little Harlock Newslog:
12.02.2005
Oh! Great News:
- Back in my 2004/09/23 entry I wrote about the Tenjô Tenge figures by Kaiyodo exhibited
at last years Wonder Festival. Back then Kaiyodo´s star sculpturer Bome also sculptured
two big sculptures of the sisters Maya & Aya Natsume.
Kaiyodo now announced that PVC figure versions of these two big size sculptures will be
released in April for a relatively tempting cheap price. The details for both:

Natsume Maya
Release Date: 2005/04/25 | Price: 2,850 Yen (excl. tax)
Amazon.jp

Natsume Aya
Release Date: 2005/04/25 | Price: 2,850 Yen (excl. tax)
Amazon.jp

- Furthermore Kaiyodo´s site for Wonder Festival 2005 Winter confirms that there´ll be
an advance sale for the first part of the Avex Mode x Kaiyodo Tenjô Tenge figure
collaboration (the gashapon set, see my 2005/02/06 entry for details).

Why aren't there any of the guys? This aint Ikkitousen. I want a Ishyumi action figure. :(

Posted: Wed Feb 16, 2005 7:18 pm
by MrProphet
Female figs sell much better. And Ishiyumi was never in the anime, so much less exposure, much less fandom, much less propabable sales.

Ergo, no Ishiyumi figure.

Posted: Thu Feb 17, 2005 9:12 am
by zangetsu
But judjing by the ads with a black haired Nagi, he is the main villian of the OVA's. So that should be enough to boost his fandom. That's gotta be good fo something.

Posted: Thu Feb 17, 2005 11:07 am
by MrProphet
Mitsuomi, Masa or Bob have much more exposure, but I don't see any figures of them.

Females sell better, period. Most of the buyers are obsessed fanboys, and trust me, the majority of fanboys prefer female figs.

Mmm... I'm a bit disapointed with the characters they picked to turn into figs. Sure I understand why Maya and Aya were choosen, but that doesn't mean I have to like it - The F members have much cooler designs than the main characters.

Am I the only one who seriously wants a Madoka figure?

Or better yet - A Bob vs. Madoka diorama.

But hey, another garage kit fan? I just bought a new Asuka model to assemble and paint.

Though Hobbyfan has better prices I prefer e2046.com.

Poseable action figures-

I think there's a mistake on HLJ. Those action figures should not be so small and so cheap...

Gashapons and the busts are cast from relatively solid molds, but the poseable figures need A LOT of work and assembly at the manufacturing stage. It's difficult to make them too small, and the joints and stuff can get expensive.
