While we wait the release of various TJTG figures, why not check out some other works.
The quality of action figures have improved greatly since the days of G.I. Joe's.
And I think this truely stands out.
It's an action figure of Asuka from the anime "Neon Genesis Evangelion".
I can't believe this figure can shift pelvis and even sit crosslegged...!
While she stands a mere 110mm (4.33in) tall, the articulation and level of detail is amazing.
Wishful thinking, but if Tenjo Tenge figures ever get released by the people who made this, I'm buying that in a heartbeat.

Action figure.MrProphet wrote:But is it a real model kit, or just an action figure?
Comes fully assembled and painted.
Includes the skull base, spear, and spare hands to hold the spear.
1700 yen.
About $17 USD and that is an incredibly cheap price IMO.
For those who might want to purchase this figure, please give up hope.
The presale ended last November and it will ship in April.
That's a long @$$ lag time, but I guess the Japanese are patient people.
Here's a piece that is more TenjoTenge-ish.
Anime/Manga people sure have taken to this french maid thing lately...

By Masaki Apsy, whose website hitori has linked. He does a lot of action figures.hitori wrote:Action figure.MrProphet wrote:But is it a real model kit, or just an action figure?

IIRC, it was also only available by mail-order via Shonen Ace-A magazine. I got the Rei figure (came with limited edition version of volume 9 of Evangelion manga) but couldn't bothered trying to get the Asuka figure. For those who might want to purchase this figure, please give up hope.

IIRC, Apsy also did the Hoihoi-san action figure which was also only available by mail order through some magazine. About a month ago, I saw one of those Hoihoi-san action figures go on Yahoo Japan auctions for over 60,000 yen. The original price of the Hoihoi-san action figure was considerably higher than 1,700 yen, though, IIRC (perhaps closer to 8,000 or 9,000 yen).

Sasuga books seem to be selling the Saki figure for 50 bucks. I want to buy it badly, and it's not much, but I know absolutely nothing about this "Tengoku! manga, so I don't really know why I should care about the fig.
But the scult-work is just amazing. I might just get it on a whim.
There are also several very good Trigun kits, but I am so not into Trigun, so it's a pass for me.
