Aya super strong?

Post by Prince843 »

Hey guy's, I was just curious about a few things and thought I might bring it up. I'm all about the Aya Show, hell I don't know why, she's so goofy compared to the mentality of the rest of the cast. She's not the most popular, and sometimes down-right hated, but what can I say, all girls need love, even fruity Aya (plus she's so pretty, oooh . . . God Aya, what the hell did you eat when you were young to grow those guns?). 8)

Now I know she's a little sissy pretty much every other time you see her. That guy with the flames is burning off her clothes, Mitsomi pokes her on the head and she just flomps over, her sister loves to slap her around, etc. Not to mention she's a tad whiny, obsessive, clumsy, jealous, etc etc (poor Aya!!). Just thought I'd say that before an Aya basher did since I love her so much, it's ok for me to pick on her.

Anyway, I've been listening to everybody talk about who's the strongest and who could be the Ultimate Warrior and what-not, but how come I don't see any Aya hype? I've read though Tenjou Tenge 1-87 and I watched all the Anime's. From what I gather, Aya's no joke if you get her pissy enough.

Now it's been awhile since I read the stuff, once I hit 87 I forgot all the names and a little of this and that. From what I remember though, when she gains that dragon/demon-eye power of her's, it's nighty night for anybody in the way. I mean, from what we're told, she see's your attacks coming from a mile away. It's as if everything is going in slow motion to her, even lighting fast attacks like from that guy with the chain link Bo (I forgot his name). First she totally disarms the guy of his weapon, then beats him into chunks. He didn't even get a shot on her and he was what, one of the top strongest bosses in the school? I doubt she was even trying, how much power is she packed with?

That makes me wonder, what exactly could she do if she could awaken that dark power at her whim? And what would you look like if she did while wielding that oversized, cursed family sword? You'd be sliced up like burger meat so fast your damn socks would blow off.

Top it off, she's after Nagi as her main man, so that's like the Twin Towers right there! 8)

Well, the dragon's eye consumes a lot of energy, so she wouldn't be able to use it for a long amount of time. Plus, during Nagi's fight with Mataza she mentioned that they were so fast that her dragons eye predictions couldn't keep up. So it has some drawbacks, but she is one of the stronger characters. Not as strong or pretty as Maya though.

I think Aya's prettier than Maya. She's considerably less mature, though. Her whininess and emotional fragility might well be a reflection of this, and as she is growing up fast, they may not be a problem for very much longer. Her 'strength' stems more from the Ryugan than from her physical skills. Maya, on the other hand, is strong with her physical skills and knowledge.

They've both got divine, god-sent breasts, though.

I've always liked Aya, probably a little more than Maya. It's been fun watching her mature as the book goes on and become stronger. Now that she's at the point where she is saving Maya it will be interesting to see where Oh! great takes her character. It's obvious her and Nagi will be the 2 most powerful characters because of their powers (the whole flashback was just to better explain Aya's dragon eye afterall) but without the mental toughening to control it her character would be pretty boring IMO. Maya had her brother and parents death's to change her(with Aya being too young to have the same effect) so perhaps OG is going to kill Maya to turn Aya into the leader she needs to be.[/i]

When you said "grow those guns" I immediately thought of Austin Powers and the machine gun boobies. >>;;

I have to say, I like Maya more, but Aya has attractive qualities also. While I find Maya's power and poise to be more attractive in the manga, Aya really steals the show in her pinups and artwork. xP

I wish I understood whyyyy they changed her hair from blackish/dark brown to blondey-brown for the anime, though. >> And Maya's hair turned purple...

It was mainly because the anime sucked. I actually watched the anime before I read the manga, so I feel I have a more objective view.

Anyways, I think Aya will become much more powerful. The is only because it is a given that she will become stronger than Shin was. If she doesn't then Oh! Great would really be trying to make his style of story telling different. There would have been no point in delving into the past (well there are MANY other reasons) if not to show the level of power that Aya may obtain and why Mitsuomi doesn't want Reiki anywhere near her as it will only help develop her power.

Lastly, I also prefer Aya X Masa, but I do not think this will become a reality, only it will be the reason Masataka will become the opponent for Nagi.

About her character I think it's kind of ironic how she seems to be the weakling in both mind, body, & soul or whatever but her true power is Hottt Dang Dawg is mighty G.R.. [I don't know what I mean by that either but it's great XD] Maybe Oh Great! was after that. To make people think that she won't be capable in mastering her power but with her love for Soichiro it's kind of like a sneak peek of her ambition per say. So don't overlook her. Plus I think his name is Bushinchi :x [not really good with names] he said something to Maya on volume 3 that he is reminded of Aya being who Maya was 2 years ago. I'll restate it agian don't overlook her.

Yeah I salute!!! Come on she's only 15. She's going through those days in which Maya sure have gone through as well... [Whatever that is  ]

Agree the book itself will be pretty boring if all of the characters are at there strongest. Just like Bob and Nagi, Aya too is cultivating or enhancing their skills... Hmm I'm not like a Maya haterz 4 realz. But if Maya was killed I bet she had it coming...

I started to like aya way more than maya as the manga progressed. Maya started to get on my nerves more and aya started to rise as a likeable character. Right now, aya has surpassed maya in my book but no one can pass makiko-dono. Sorry but she's sooooooo AWESOME. IMO, one of the reason's I hated aya in the beginning was due partially to that annoying voice they gave her in the anime and the way she was so annoying with nagi and that mushy crap. Now she's learning about her dragon's eye. And sorry to say but beating that guy in the anime wasn't too much of an accomplishment. The level of nagi/ishiyumi fight was on a scale unimaginable and that was when nagi was first learning about the power of the dragon fist. Also, I think as she progresses and learns more about the history of the natsume family, her dragon's eye will be one of the top 5 deadliest weapons in Tenten. Only problem i see is like elite said, the dragon's eye consumes way too much energy but I do believe she will be able to eficiently use the dragon's eye to its full potential (something I'd love to see as that eye is very mysterious and shrouded in power). Nonetheless, nagi and aya will be in the top 5 rankings as strongest in tenjou. Masa just gets on my nerves because I feel as if he's made the least progress of all the jyukenbu. so thats why I choose nagi x aya.

Don't forget that Aya was more or less "sheltered" by Maya, so we can all lay off the "Aya teh suckest chara evah!" type bullsh*t. Personally, I'm rather starting to like Aya more, due to her character evolution. Although she seems to still have that "Souichirou's #1 Groupie" thing goin' on, her feelings seem to hold weight now, seeing as she got to know about him more, and as a fighter she's grown some, and will probably surpass Maya (whom of which I'm going to go out on a limb and say kicked the bucket, and even she said she didn't have to watch out for Aya anymore.)
