Tech Romancer

Does anyone, anyone at all, know who the characters from "Tech Romancer" are? It was a giant-robot game for the dreamcast I believe. Anyway, that is the next chapter up (I finally got through all those 1 page Justice Gakuen Theatre chapters) but I don't know the first thing about the characters from that game.
Honestly, I haven't been playing video games since Street Fighter III. It all went downhill from there...
