Vulgar Ghost Daydream Vol 9

Post by Thor »

According to a few links like this one:

http://books.yahoo.co.jp/book_detail/r0204687
&
http://7andy.yahoo.co.jp/books/detail?accd=R0204687

it looks as if VOl 9 is out in September '06.

miyu chan, do you plan to buy this volume, and possibly scan it in as well for future (much future since Fugu is very busy) work?

Sadly, the scans for volume 8 are not really that good. I would have started translation earlier, but I haven't found anyone that would clean and level the scans - they have a pretty large gutter shadow and are not white balanced.

If I ever get some extra money and time I'll buy a scanner and scan volume 8 and 9 myself, but it just doesn't look like that is likely to happen. Especially since in general, I'm very busy trying to start my research career out here now.

I'm up to page 37 on Volume 8 now. It goes slowly because I also work on Dogs: Bullets and Carnage, Tenjo Tenge, and Hells Angels (when I get scans of that.)

I just bought Volume 9 the other day, but I haven't had a chance to open it up yet. Does anyone know the word on scans? I would love to translate it, but I just don't have the time to scan. Or the hardware really.

Just posting again to note that if anyone is interested in scanning volume 9, I can send it to you. I would love to translate it, but I don't have scans.

I mentioned over on the Dogs section that I picked up a scanner. So I thought I would start scanning VGD volume 9. Got about 42 some pages into it, decided I needed to zap the book a bit more to debind, and totally burned the remaining 160 or whatever pages.

dammit.

Now I've got to buy a second volume.

Typical zapping appliance: a microwave.

The second volume met its grizzly fate of death by a thousand box cutter cuts. But scanned up nicely.

Well, two pages out of 192 isn't bad.
