I didn't know Volume 7 was out yet. I would like to translate it (I've got a bit of a backlog right now - Tenjo Tenge and Dogs) but I don't have scans. Private Message me if you want to try to send them over.

thanks!

Done !

No need to rush, just knowing that you're taking care already makes me a little satisfied... LOL

For those that like the ghost theme, this volume is a good choice, from the look of the pics T_T it will be a damn good fight! Ghost vs. half-naked woman... haha

I too was navigating in kadokawa's site and just stumbled in it :D

By the way, just prolongating the horror topic, while I was at kadokawa's, I saw a new manga, at least I think it's new or it is little know, but the fact is that I dl'ed the scans of it and found it to be pretty interesting, it is called 'Variante Requiem for the World', with a more serious plot than VGD and some nemesis-like creatures. Again, just my opinion by looking at the pics T_T ...

Do you or anyone has read this book, or know anything about this? I would really like to know more, but information on it is very lacking, even in japanese. I even tried winny, but only got the first volume, and there appear to be a second one released last month. Speaking of winny, damn it, now i'm dl'ing the entire japan inside my machine...lol

Oh, and did you find any dogs already? It's another damn scarce scan...

Sorry, never heard of it. :( Do you happen to know who it's by? It sounds interesting. Anybody happen to know what chapter number VGD is up to in the japanese realeases? It seems from reading Fugu's scanlations the chapters are pretty long or are they just put together and the chapter title pages are taken out when the individual volumes are released?:?

Indeed it is, my friend! It's from Sugimoto Iqura, altough the author seems to be more anonymous than his work... me thinks... take a look at this pages.. she's a poor thing, sad...

As for VGD, the chapters are really huge, like the one with 160 pages from a previous volume, being 2~3 chapters per volume. The 7th volume came out this week in Japan by the kadokawa comics, and it only have 3 chapters, like chapters 13-15 in the total of all volumes, having the 13th chapter about 100 pages!

Fugu will have a good time with those.. lol

Boing, boing.

Oh, does anyone know when the 7 volumes were released in Japan? Not the exact date, but the month and year and stuff. I'm curious and bored. :p

I'm not sure. According to http://www.kadokawa.co.jp/comic/bk_sear ... 0503000178

volume 7 was released in 2005-06-25
volume 6 was released in 2004-07-01
volume 5 was released in 2003-08-01
volume 4 was released in 2002-10-29
volume 3 was released in 2002-04-25
volume 2 was released in 2001-07-27
volume 1 was released in 2001-02-26

So they've been slowing down a bit. Just like my translations. :)

I actually have scans of volume 7 and will probably start translating it, but the quailty of the scans just isn't so great so I've been a bit hesitant to start. Also, the first chapter is all about Mah-jong, which I'm not very familiar with. Maybe it will pick up though.

Finished translating the first chapter of VGD volume 7, but I think I'll just translate the rest of the volume before putting anything out.

Next chapter is that Mahjong one that I saw before, which is tough because I do not know Mahjong terms. Time to do some "research" I suppose...

Thank you, that is very nice to hear. I have started translating the last chapter of Vulgar Ghost Daydream, but right now I have a chapter of Dogs: Bullets & Carnage and Hells Angels to translate as well. I really do want to finish Volume seven up though, so I'll try to put more time into it. :)

Not even started. I played some Mahjong as a grad student, but not well enough to actually know much about it...

Hello All,
Just signed up to say hi and that I appreciate all the hard work and time you are sacrificing to translate this title. I don't remember how or why I came to find this manga but the combined eroticism and horror really got me hooked, not to mention the **HOTNESS** of Misaki!

I picked up the DVD and it was the last title I ever bought so far. It was ok for a brief intro of the series but wish it could have played the sexiness a little more. Otherwise, I still enjoy it.

Vol. 7 is a great collection. I admit, I'm completely lost with the Majong episode since I don't know a damn thing about it, but it was good. It took me a minute to recognize that one lesbian who I think is Misaki's friend from that photo shot back then. (Didn't even know it was a woman. Been a while since I read this).

Anyway, if I can I'm going to try to pick up the earlier episodes again since I've forgotten it all. Thanks again for translating this great series.

BTW, even though it has been slowing to release new volumes, I assume the cliffhanger at the end of vol.7 indicates at least 1 more vol. I'd hate for them to suddenly quit with an open-ended story like that.

Here's hoping for at least 1 more volume of Misaki Nudeness ... I mean, Goodness!

When volume 7 is going to be in the IRC channel? because my connection doesn't allow me to use BT. Also if somebody wishes to help me, I can give a FTP where you could upload this

Hard to say - I don't really have much to do with the IRC channel. I pop in there sometimes, but mostly good people run it, so I don't really know if and when stuff will go up. I'm not sure that there are as many Vulgar Ghost Daydream fans, so it might be uploaded...

I'm pretty sure Kodansha is still putting out VGD. I don't read Kadokawa Ace though (actually, I don't really read any monthly compilation) so I'm not positive. I would be shocked if they didn't continue it though.

Now that you said it Fugu, Im curious. Was VGD serialized in any magazine? From when I started reading VGD, vol 06 was already released, so I didn't searched much. And then accidentally I stumbled into vol 07 at Kodokawa's site. But never heard of VGD being serialized (or at least didnt pay attention).

Is this Kadokawa Ace a monthly magazine? One that could have serialized VGD?

Yes, Vulgar Ghost Daydream is (very) irregularly serialized in Kadokawa Ace, a monthly magazine.

12 seeds and 4 peers. Check to make sure that you have the proper ports forwarded on your router.

Hmm, I seem to have 0 seeds, 1 peers and 6 all. The status is "downloading", but nothing is download. ^^; My "listen" port is set at 6969. May I know if that should correct? (Ah, apologies, I am quite the n00b at the BT affair. Could download off BT for the first 6 volumes till recently. XD;;;)

Much thanks! :)

You should forward ports 6881 to 6889 to the IP that you have on your router. The listening port of 6969 is fine, but doesn't need to be forwarded. I did a search on Google for "bittorrent port forward" to get more information, and there are lots of sites out there explaining that. See http://btfaq.com/serve/cache/25.html for example.
