Not directly 'dogs' related. I found this on shirow miwa sensei's blog, a collaboration with composer supercell creating Hatsune Miku vid called 'Love is a war'. I think everyone knows what Hatsune miku is. This is probably the best miku vid in the history. Every shirow miwa fans should watch this.

You know what would make it even better? Getting rid of that fucking horrible robot voice. :x Cool video though.

The whole point of Hatsune is that it is an automated synthesized singer. It's pretty cool actually. I hadn't heard about it before.

I know but it doesn't make it sound any less horrible.

also mentions about their recent interview at oricon web.
I got my copy the other day, and its awsome. I know some ppl seem to think volcaloid suck, but can't deny Miku's popularity.

vocaloid voices are acquired tastes, once you realize how much work is put into the good songs, you'd realize how amazing they actually are. In fact, if you don't like the robot voice, usually niconico has fan-singers who cover the songs, ryo's songs in particular (melt, koi wa sensou, world is mine, B*RS) have many covers, and amongst them are very good ones, for example, the music group absorb has covered much of ryo's songs, albeit under a psuedonym:

and this is my favourite rendition of koisen:

You can also think of vocaloids as a composer's way of spanning out their amazing work, it's not easy to find people with good vocals, and niconico+vocaloids have given them the possibility of finding them.
