The first volume only has two chapters, but there are 6 volumes out in Japan currently, and it has recently been made into an OVA.

Summary from the back cover.

In this world, there are two ways of seeing. With the "eyes" of the living, or the dead. Very rarely, there is someone that can freely cross between these two worlds. This is the story of one of those people, a young lady named Misaki Saiki.

She "sees" another world that we don't, and can "talk" to us from the other side. People like her are called Necromancers.

  • 2007/07/01 Released Vulgar Ghost Daydream volume 9 translation. Added volume 9 character page, updated list of all characters with new portraits for many characters and all volume 9 characters.
  • 2007/02/19 Added Chapter Summary Page, which includes summaries for all chapters that I have transalted to date (give or take a few.)
  • 2006/12/31 Updated torrent to include two missing English translation pages (47 and 108) and also fixed broken links in the README.html

  • 2006/10/06 I have cleaned scans of volume 8 now, and am slowly working on the translation.
  • 2006/09/16 I have scans of Vulgar Ghost Daydream volume 8, but they need to be leveled and cleaned up. I don't have the time to do it. If you are interested, let me know. Once they are ready to translate, I can do that.
  • 2005/11/10 Vulgar Ghost Daydream Volume 7 translation released. Thanks to underdark for the scans. As far as I know this catches me up to what is current in Japan.
  • 2005/07/02 Thanks to underdark I now have scans (a bit low quality though) of Vulgar Ghost Daydream volume 7. I'll get started on a translation soon.
  • 2005/07/02 Genon has licensed the anime version of Vulgar Ghost Daydream for release in the US. There is a review up at AnimeOnDVD.com. I personally think that the name Ghost Talker's Daydream is pretty lame, but at least it is being released.
  • 2004/09/19 Vulgar Ghost Daydream volume 6 translation released.
  • 2004/08/10 I picked up Vulgar Ghost Daydream today, and have started translation - there are 2 chapters, one 40 pages, the other about 160 pages. So I'll probably just take my time and release the whole thing when I'm done.
  • 2004/07/03 Anime-Keep has released a sub of Vulgar Ghost Daydream OVA volume 1. Check it out! They have an excellent translation.

Downloads

All downloads are in BitTorrent format. BitTorrent is a peer-to-peer downloading application. You need to install BitTorrent and then open the .torrent file. If you setup installed correctly, it should open automatically. I have put all the older volumes (1-5) together into one large torrent - you can use a nice client (such as Azureus to choose which files you want to download from the torrent if you don't want all 5 volumes.
