ok this is gonna probably sound stupid but volume ten does end at fight 63 right? And theres 6 chapters per volume, So 11 would end at 69. Now heres the thing, if volume 11 is due out in april. How the hell did I get fight 72 (raw) if its not released yet or something another? If anyone wants it I can send it to ya via irc. Looks very interesting, can't read it though.

Tenjo Tenge has been serialized in Ultra Jump - it comes out in the monthlies first (on crappy paper I might add) and then is collected into a volume when enough chapters have been serialized.

I don't translate the monthlies because I can't afford to get them (time | money, take your pick) so I wait around for the collected volume releases. If the images are good enough though, I might translate them.

I would just as well prefer to wait though.

I am kind of surprised that some other manga translation group hasn't picked up with the monthlies though.

To borrow from Fugu's news entries from http://mangatranslation.com, he buys them at Kinokuniya.
10/24/2003 I picked up Tenjo Tenge volume 10 for about $10 down at Kinokunia. Yay.

Yep, I run down to Kinokunia in NYC to pick up TJTG. Actually, I first found it in a random manga shop in Shibuya when there were 2 volumes out (a long time ago) and thought it would be fun to translate.

I'll keep translating TJTG as long as I have time and I enjoy it. There might be some problems around march next year or so though, since I should have my phd by then, and I'll have to buy server space somewhere. I think I'll put out about $200 a year for the domains I own (http://mangatranslation.com/, http://FuguTabetai.com/ which runs a mail server I want to keep alive, and http://smugeeks.com/, a light hearted jab at my alma mater...) but since I also plan on getting a job in Japan, I don't really know what will happen next year.

In the short term though, yes I will keep translating TJTG.

Its a nice scan, thats what surprised me. Usually scans I see that are raw are very dull or the black is faded alot.

I really like all the stuff in Tenjo Tenge like the characters and style. The thing is, Ive never heard of it until I saw a wallpaper of Maya and then found your site.

Now there must be alot of cool things I'm missing out on so could someone recommend some other cool manga or anime that's like tenjo tenge? besides the ones that are already on this site. Thanks.
